Our goal is to accelerate and facilitate the transition from inefficient lead acid power storage systems to Lithium-Ion power storage systems. We believe in designing and producing a cleaner and safer alternative to lead acid power storage systems.The Systems Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting advanced lithium-ion battery systems that meet customer and performance expectations. This position bridges the gap between engineering design and customer application, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within scope, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards. The Systems Engineer collaborates closely with internal teams and global partners to define system requirements, execute testing, and provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in CAN bus systems, and the ability to communicate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.The Systems Engineer will:
Manage project costs and scope to ensure on-time delivery.
Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Participate in the design and implementation of lithium battery packs.
Collaborate with customers to define product requirements and resolve system application issues.
Develop and maintain clear process and instruction documentation.
Understand and apply battery protection and safety standards to battery packs.
Provide customer-facing product and project management support.
Deliver customer requirements and feedback to global design and production teams.
Create system-level design requirements and execute corresponding test plans.
Participate in a global team environment providing application engineering support.
What you'll need to succeed:
A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (BS/AS with equivalent technical experience also considered).
0-3 years of relevant engineering experience (5+ years preferred for senior candidates).
Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CAN bus connected systems and CAN bus communication.
A strong understanding of computer systems engineering and analysis.
The ability to creatively problem solve with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Customer-facing experience.
A step ahead, but not required:
Experience with Lithium-Ion or other battery technologies.
Experience with Jira or similar tools.
Prior experience in process documentation.
Project management experience.
