Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The position requires on-site support located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together.
The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Manufacturing Engineering job duties involve the following:
Provide guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts to ensure the best manufacturing technique is being used to meet the Engineering design
Participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs during assembly
Define sequence of operations for product builds, investigate and initiate corrective actions and improvements that involve non-conforming product and identify improvement opportunities in areas that require producibility and affordability initiatives
Provide liaison support for Engineering definition to influence low production costs for integrated assembly related to electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems
Manufacturing Engineers for Aeronautics Systems are expected to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems. They are problem solvers who have the ability to provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. We seek Manufacturing Engineers that use a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the technical representative voice for the Manufacturing organization.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by 2026.
Be majoring in or having majored in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM degree.
Foundational understanding of manufacturing operations, including composites, metallic structures, coatings application, and assembly processes.
Proven ability to interface and communicate effectively with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors.
Familiarity with: (1) CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX), (2) reviewing and interpreting Blueprints and 3-D models.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Accomplish
In this role you will design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, application development, and flight simulation. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment. Our simulation software is critical to the current and future company projects. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment
Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: C, C++, and Python
Experience with two or more of the following tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Fortify, or Coverity
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Engineering Technician III (Aseptic Filler/ Capper)
The Engineering Technician will be working on the production floor with plant technicians at Niagara facilities around the country. We are seeking a skilled Aseptic Filler/Capper Technician with strong hands-on experience supporting Sidel/Krones aseptic filler and Arol/Krones capper platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring sterile integrity, equipment reliability, and optimized performance of high-speed aseptic bottling lines.
Essential Functions
Providing Plant Support for Niagara Facilities
Provide aid and expertise to plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians
Aid in any needed repairs on production machinery, as necessary
Provide information on needs for long term success of facilities, including but not limited to the Focus Line Process
Diagnostic Visits
Identify problems and wear & tear on machine centers for every line.
Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions
Develop suggestions for parts and labor needed during annual rebuilds/overhauls
Annual Rebuilds/Overhauls
Work on teams of 4, along with plant maintenance teams
Prepare machine centers to repair/rebuild problems found during Diagnostic Visits
Training
Attend machine center specific master class training as a baseline
Assist with evaluation of Engineering Technicians skills on machine centers via a written assessment card
Assist with the training of Engineering Technicians thru an OJT style format
Suggest machine center specific training modules for the Engineering Technicians that are needed above and beyond the OJT system
Assist with the further development and implementation of the OJT style training for our group
