Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Loads and hauls equipment and materials to and from job sites. Installs, maintains, repairs and cleans culverts, French drains and pipes; digs drainage ditches. Mows ditches, ditch banks and other areas as assigned. Checks ponds to confirm working order. Removes trees, overgrown vegetation, debris, etc., from ditches that may impede the flow of storm water. Operates tractors, mowers, skid loader, utilizes cutting torches, weed eaters, welding equipment, and various hand and power tools. Exercises care and safety in the use and maintenance of required tools and equipment. May operate dump truck, backhoe, or slope mower. Inspects equipment for proper operation; performs routine maintenance and minor repair work on equipment as necessary. Maintains accurate and complete records of work performed daily.
