Roles and Responsibilites
* Operate equipment to assist with the daily production and operations of the plant.
* Assist plant supervisor with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
* Ability to inspect all areas of the plant to perform belt repairs, screen changes, bearing replacements and other necessary maintenance.
* Perform welding and fabrication duties as needed.
* Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SEWER SPECIALIST / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
As our Sewer Specialist / Equipment Operator, you arrive to work each day ready to ensure proper paperwork is filled out so our team can jump right into performing excavation jobs to the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency. You use your communication skills to keep the city, team, and clients up to date on projects. Your understanding of trench safety equipment, including shoring, trench boxes, and work in trenches helps to keep a safe environment as you use skid steers, mini excavators, or a shovel to perform manual excavation. You also correct bad sewer and water lines by making proper connections using the correct fittings for sewer and water pipe. You continue to learn the technical skill of sewer repair and lining, including following proper procedures and wearing PPE. At the end of the day, you make sure everything is cleaned and inventory is stocked.

The role is also responsible for the performance of basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, as well as, working with others on daily goals for production.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Operates a dozer to complete tasks such as move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
* Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment.
* May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed.

Equipment operator job in Salt Lake City, UT
Hunt Electric, Inc. is looking for a full-time experienced and self-motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to build roadway projects, street lighting, underground utilities, and electrical and communication systems. A qualified individual will also be responsible for setting vaults and performing light concrete work, including pole foundations.
Job Requirements:
Experience with operation of excavators, loaders, and digger derricks.
Requires working with light, medium and heavy tools to install underground conduit, boxes, vaults, rebar and pour concrete
Experience with excavation, civil construction, and underground utilities
Experience working around underground utilities
Experience in digging trenches and working around underground utilities
Ability to work well within a team, helping with all aspects of underground utilities and excavation.
Ability to use basic construction equipment and tools including shovels, sledgehammer, and concrete tools.
Experience in laying and gluing conduit.
Ability to be able to perform a variety of tasks including manual labor.
Must have a valid driver's license for a minimum of one year and a clean driving record
Must be 21 years or older.
Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours.

Minimum Qualifications:
Class A CDL with no restrictions preferred.
