Position Summary: The Project Estimator - Civil & Mechanical, will assist in the development of pricing and costing for both public bid opportunities as well as design-build or reduced competition pursuits related to various types of treatment plants. Those may include water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, water intake facilities, bio-gas facilities and renewable energy projects.
Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to: This Civil & Mechanical position must have a background in earthwork, excavation and/or piping systems estimating and take-off abilities. Read and understand project plans and specifications, knowledge and understanding of contract language is a plus, locate, track, and solicit subcontractors and material vendors, complete various estimating duties utilizing a combination of quantitative take-offs, labor production estimate, on-screen estimating within set deadlines, work collectively within the team of estimators. Ability to evaluate and compare multiple material vendors and/or subcontractors for completeness of scope, schedule, and compliance with plans and specs. Compile and finalize the estimate within the deadline and actively participate in team reviews with operations staff. Assist Operations with transition from bid to the project deployment.

Perform detailed analyses and comparisons of subcontractor and vendor scopes and pricing.
Perform detailed quantitative material take-off for vendor scope and pricing along with labor estimates.
