FUNCTION The Estimator serves as a vital function in the growth of Old Town Design Group. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for single family detached and attached construction projects; calculate and process Change Orders; solicit and obtain bids and proposals; facilitate cost management; produce and distribute budgets for purchasing; and, work independently and cross departmentally to reduce costs without negatively impacting quality or timeliness of construction. This is a challenging position that will require strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work well under pressure when facing bid deadlines. MISSION The Estimator will maintain the integrity of Old Town in all aspects. All responsibilities performed require extensive knowledge and understanding of all Old Town residential and commercial properties, mission and values. Candidate will possess an entrepreneurial work ethic and be able to work collaboratively with other Old Town team members.     Estimator Commercial HVAC Swift Air Mechanical specializes in Commercial and Residential HVAC Services and is located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana. We are searching for an HVAC Estimator to join our growing team! The Commercial HVAC Estimator will be responsible for all take-offs, pricing, and producing the final estimate and/or budgets based upon conceptual documents, schematics, design development, design build and construction documents. The estimator must interface with other members of the project team(s) and complete a hand-off to Project Management once contracts are executed with all project details to be incorporated into the final work product. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Estimate HVAC installation in engineered Commercial Projects. Estimate and sell packaged rooftop HVAC equipment, split systems, Cambridge and MUA systems, piping and small chiller on occasion, new and revised duct systems including VAVs. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare estimates. Perform detailed take-offs for equipment and material pricing. Distribute bid requests to all applicable vendors and subcontractors. Ensure estimates are completed and sent prior to deadlines. Communicate with vendors and suppliers. Review prints and details of projects with Estimator and/or Project Manager. Ensure all job specific instructions are shared with team to lead field personnel.
