What You'll Be Doing
Prepare detailed drywall framing estimates for commercial projects
Complete wallboard and plasterboard takeoffs
Estimate drywall equipment, materials, and supplies
Perform custom millwork estimating as needed
Use PlanSwift and OnScreen Takeoff for quantity takeoffs
Write and assemble clear, accurate bid proposals
Review bids daily with operations and leadership prior to submission
Participate in client scope review meetings via Zoom
Support occasional bid follow-ups (majority handled by leadership)
Bid volume varies, some weeks may involve quick-turn bids within hours, while others allow multiple days for completion. When timelines are tight, the team collaborates closely to ensure success.

Requirements:
Education + Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field from a U.S. accredited institution. 10-15 years of hands-on estimating experience for design-bid-build and/or design-build/fast-track projects, including building, heavy/civil, and infrastructure construction. Estimating certifications from ASPE, AACE, or RICS preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with airport construction (airside and landside) preferred. Familiarity with construction at various stages of design and across all trades and disciplines.
Technical Proficiency: Expert in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience using AutoCAD for quantity takeoffs. Knowledge of estimating software and experience with SharePoint and E-Builder preferred.

About the Role
We're looking for an Estimator who can take full ownership of the bid process-from reviewing bid invitations to completing takeoffs, assembling proposals, and communicating with General Contractors. Once a project is awarded, our project managers take over, but we need someone who can thoroughly vet every opportunity and ensure accuracy on the front end.
This role is ideal for someone with 1+ year of experience in any type of door industry, with a strong preference for overhead door experience. We have a one-month training ramp-up, but we need someone who is detail-oriented, consistent, and committed-someone who stays in roles long enough to deeply learn the work and build trust with the team.
What You'll Do
Review incoming bid invitations and ensure every bid is evaluated and pursued.
Complete accurate takeoffs for overhead door and related systems.
Build and submit written proposals for internal approval (Sean will approve final proposals).
Communicate with GCs throughout the bidding process; act as the primary point of contact until a job is awarded.
Transition awarded jobs to project managers with clear documentation.

Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $100k-$200k/year ($48-$96/hour).
