Essential Job Responsibilities
Process quotes on time, with competitive pricing and timing.
Ensuring that all items are available to process quotes, including material, material cost, annual volume, part print including CAD data, assembly information, packaging information, ship destination, and any other pertinent information. If information is not available, required to contact the customer and request.
Managing all CAD data including master CAD data for production parts, and CAD data received for quoting. Creating all customer driven ECO's regarding Engineering changes & part print changes/ updates.
Evaluating part prints as they come in from the customer, providing Engineering with a review of the print the ECO and prints to be entered in the system.
Retrieving all new quote data, engineering change proposal data, released for build data, and designs for the customer via FTP sites.
Processes all data by providing 4-views, overlays, translated data, designs, and blank estimates/nesting to the Sales and Engineering departments, as well as to gage shops for quoting and/or release to build. Modifies data per proposals dictated by the Engineering and/or Quality departments, as well as providing CMM layout report overlays to current math data for comparisons and proposals.
Analyzes part prints and/or data and providing piece price, tool, fixture, and weld assembles estimates for review by the Engineering Manager. Quotes to gage shops for comparison and support. Provides and distributes to the V.P. of Stamping and President a weekly spreadsheet equipped with charts depicting the timeliness of quotes internally.
Qualifications:
o Associates degree (A. A.) or related engineering/quoting/CAD experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Must be able to demonstrate excellent skills in MS Excel and Word, with moderate CAD skills showing the ability to open files, print drawings and scale parts, and execute light design changes to both drawings and math data.
o Reliable.
o Must also be able to demonstrate efficient skills in manual and/or computer-aided part-blanking, as well as part nesting, and establishing processes.
o Journeyman diemaker card and weld estimation experiences are a plus.
o Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
o Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
o Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.

ESTIMATING:

Take pictures of difficult production situations and/or customer service concerns during the estimate and insert into proposal.

Responsible for approving change orders for jobs in progress.
