The Estimator's primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication, informing and updating customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles and documents needed repairs and parts replacement on the damage appraisal. The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs.

Compensation Details:
Commissions for this position are calculated based on location and revenue metrics, sales and individual performance, subject to the terms of the plan.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for our First Quality Tissue SE, LLC facility located in Anderson, SC. The ideal candidate will bring significant engineering, design, build, install, & construction estimating experience, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, civil, structural/architectural, site work, and utilities. This role is crucial to preparing and verifying accurate estimates from Concept Design through to Detailed Design.
In this role, you will support all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-offs and pricing for manufacturing projects. This position is critical for ensuring and verifying accurate budgeting & forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for site and manufacturing projects ranging from $100,000 to $500 million.
Estimate labor, equipment, and material costs.
Review and interpret drawings to produce accurate conceptual, schematic, and final estimates.
Identify construction risks, site conditions, constructability issues, and propose solutions.
Recommend value-engineering options to optimize project costs.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement and Project Controls.
Establish estimates with appropriate alternates, general conditions, vendor and subcontractor pricing, labor production, and wage rates in alignment with the bid strategy.
Develop conceptual estimates from limited information, ensuring the inclusion of accurate alternates, general conditions, and pricing.
Perform detailed take-offs by identifying and quantifying all scope items.
Deliver accurate project information to the team during turnover and planning phases to ensure seamless project execution.
Guide other colleagues in task assignments, proper use of processes/tools, and validating the accuracy and completeness of estimates produced by the team.
Ensure that the operations team receives correct and detailed information necessary for effective project execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience in manufacturing construction
Prior experience estimating for a Cost Consultant, Construction Manager or General Contractor preferred
Experience in the Paper & Pulp Industry would be a plus
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Experience with a variety of project types, with a particular focus on commercial and industrial projects valued over $1 million.
Solid understanding of construction principles, as well as experience with both negotiated and hard bid processes.
Excellent organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience using Microsoft Project preferred
Established technical knowledge, encompassing construction and estimating processes.
Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
Software & Technical Proficiency:
Experience with takeoff/modeling software
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Adobe
Proficiency in computer estimating applications (Excel, Estimating Software).
