Position Summary Provide complete and accurate mechanical and plumbing estimates. Assemble bid tab with estimates and vendor/sub quotes. Coordinate and clarify scope internally and externally. Identify the value of engineering opportunities. Identify and fill in minor design and scope gaps. Assist Preconstruction team during project turnover to Operations. Role Responsibilities Review project documents Identify scope of work Material, labor and equipment takeoffs Walk difficult projects Identify and document difficult/non-standard conditions Coordinate with Preconstruction team to identify and fill scope gaps Clarify scope with General Contractor and Engineer Obtain quotes and coordinate/qualify scope with vendors and subcontractors Assemble the bid tab in a timely manner Verify estimate accuracy by comparing data versus similar bids Participate in turnover process to Operations Follow Up on Past Awards Qualifications Indirect supervision. Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards. Devises new solutions to problems encountered. Independently performs most assignments with instruction Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards. College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
