The Estimator's primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication, informing and updating customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles and documents needed repairs and parts replacement on the damage appraisal. The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs.
Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure every customer interaction is documented, updated efficiently and accurately with pertinent details
Provide Customer with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process and ensuring that they receive excellent customer service

Compensation Details:

Provides Corporate Estimating Support to all regions. Estimator I is responsible for estimating the cost of projects and materials. They work with a variety of different teams, including construction crews, purchasing agents, and other managers to determine how much it will cost to complete a project or purchase certain materials.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Assists senior staff by performing paraprofessional engineering and administrative work in highly technical assignments using design, construction, and auditing principles as related to creating and checking Final Estimates to ensure that the submittal packages and payments are in compliance with Florida Statutes and the policies and procedures of the Department.
Assemble, check, reference and document pertinent field data into the final pay records for all assigned road and bridge contracts. Checks plans, specifications, and special provisions for special requirements and errors that could affect pay records and develop methods or alternatives for the Project Administrators to improve the Final Estimates process. At conclusion of each contract, assist and ensure that the final pay records are compiled along with as-built plans, source records; original and final computations, job files and other pertinent facts are presented as a final estimate package.
Reviews earthwork quantities on all appropriate projects assigned and implements the steps necessary to analyze and develop the required survey letters, survey waivers and earthwork checks (original cross-section ground line checks).
Assists project personnel by researching and providing guidance for obtaining procedurally correct records and documents, including reviews for accuracy of the field generated project quantities contained in monthly and final estimates. Conducts project field reviews periodically for assigned projects for completeness of Final Estimates documentation and quality assurance. Routinely coordinates with the contractor to review monthly and final estimate quantities proposed for payment. Processes monthly and final estimates. Schedules and participate in meetings as necessary, including a presentation of information at Final Estimates and Contract Administration meetings. Serves as the liaison between the Final Estimates office and project field offices.
Runs Progress and Final Estimates for payments or contract closure using PrC and the Electronic Estimate Delivery (EED) Program and coordinates with the Comptroller's Office and the District Fiscal Office for payment or other issues. Prepares record retention paperwork for disposal of documents at the appropriate time frames. Assists in preparing various monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for Department management.

Job Summary: The Preconstruction Estimator is responsible for supporting the Director of Preconstruction by ensuring efficient vendor communication, effective contract management and diligent bid follow-up. This role also involves contributing to project estimation and various preconstruction activities, ensuring the smooth progression of projects from initial concept to commencement.
Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to
Conduct comprehensive takeoffs to prepare accurate estimates.
Determine labor, material, and time requirements for commercial and residential projects.
Review proposal specifications, change orders, drawings, and contracts.
Generate reliable and relevant forecasts and present reports to upper management.
Assist in maintaining a daily contract tracking log.
Support contract administration by preparing documents and templates.
Enter data and vendor information into SmartBid and Project Center.
Upload, organize, and maintain construction documents in AutoDesk.
Coordinate blueprint orders and manage project requests in Wrike.
Assist with the construction permitting process and travel to local building departments as needed.
Coordinate utility connections for new projects (e.g., FPL, cable, water, sewer).
Process and review Design Consultant plans for construction projects.
Establish and update plan logs to track design changes and ensure accurate plan distribution.
Upload original drawings, revisions, and other construction documents into AutoDesk and the shared drive.
Execute special projects assigned by the purchasing department and contract administrator.
Assist in developing consultant budgets and create permit and impact fee budgets.
Manage design consultant bidding processes and provide contract administration for consultant contracts.
Prepare Construction Turnover Forms for Residential and Hotel projects.
Create Notices of Commencement and manage budget uploads and adjustments.
Enter preconstruction and entitlement commitments when change orders are executed.
Develop unit matrices for residential projects to define unit numbering.
Add new users (employees and subcontractors) in Sage software.
Upload plan revisions in AutoDesk and the shared drive.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
3+ years of experience as an estimator working for a general contractor in construction industry dealing with bidding, buyout and subcontract administration.
Knowledge of hospitality industry is a plus.
Experience with writing detailed scopes of work and preparation of subcontract documents.
Strong plan reading skills.
Proficiency in the On-Screen Take-Off Program.
Must be well versed in subcontractor bidding and buyout.
Working knowledge of all 16 CSI Divisions.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Planswift software.
Sage PCP, Sage 300, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Earthwork and B2w Estimate.
Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while planning and executing timely, effectively, efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:
This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects
CapEx models include all engineering, material, direct construction, and indirect construction costs
Employees in this role provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, and staffing considerations during the estimating process
Prepares capital cost estimates
Coordinates with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources
Reviews layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate
Remains current with technology and industry evolution, assuring that capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions
Establishes, builds and implements metrics for cost and construction estimate checks
