WHAT YOU'LL DO
Transportation & Compliance
Safely operate CDL or Non-CDL trucks and vans transporting equipment to and from events
Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues promptly
Plan routes efficiently for timely and compliant travel
Maintain a valid driver's license and always DOT medical certificate
Comply with all FMCSA/DOT and company safety regulations
Keep truck interior and exterior clean, organized, and show-ready
On-Site Setup & Installation
Safely operate company box trucks or semis transporting event equipment nationwide
Unload, stage, and assemble production equipment including:
Marley flooring
Audio/visual and sound systems
Lighting, projection screens, and TV monitors
Branded backdrops, signage, fixtures, and merchandise displays
Troubleshoot and support basic AV or lighting setups
Communicate clearly with warehouse and production staff
Work independently and efficiently in fast-paced show environments
Participate in event teardown
(“strike”)
and reload all equipment safely
Work Environment
Regular travel and overnight stays required during January - August tour season.
Physically active role requiring standing, bending, and lifting.
Exposure to warehouse, stage, and loading-dock environments.
Fast-paced work cycles aligned with live-event schedules.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
MUST be 21 years of age or older
Must live within a 60-mile radius of Dayton, OH
Valid Driver's License (CDL or Non-CDL Driver's License and DOT Medical Card)
Experience driving large vehicles preferred - willing to train
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. or more and perform physical labor
Weekend availability required (Friday-Sunday event cycles)
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and accountability

International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.
Expected work schedule for the Event & Trip Intern:
5-20 hours per week, flexible schedule
Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects
Attendance at IFI Staff Retreat 2026
Responsibilities of an Event & Trip Intern
Oversee planning teams such as the programming, registration, media, and hospitality teams
Coordinate with the National team to plan, coordinate, and execute conferences and retreats
Manage budgets with assistance from Operations and Finance departments and assist with payments for event vendors
Establish relationships with vendors, churches, local host families, and community members to maximize IFI funds and optimize participant experience
Draft manuals for IFI student trips with possible activities, itineraries and estimated expenses, logistics, vendor list, and contact info
Have a personal campus ministry impact by offering/hosting trips, events, or activities locally
Qualifications needed of an Event & Trip Intern, including Spiritual Characteristics
Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mission from the Lord to extend God's love extended globally out of reverence for Jesus
Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player
Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
Ability to hold themselves and others accountable
Education/Experience Preferred for an Event & Trip Intern:
Experience planning and executing events with over 100 attendees
Cross-cultural experience preferred
