This position is responsible for wide range of welding jobs such as Carbide Dressing, Hard Banding, Hard facing, Saw welding and general fabrication works.
Responsibilities:
Perform all work safely and in accordance with the Company's HSE policies and procedures.
Set-up/run RT & UT Quality Vessel Weld Processes
3 (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).
Set-up/run RT Quality Pipe Weld
All Positions (6G). - Set-up/run UT Quality Nozzle Welds
All positions (6G). - Set-up/run Carbon Arc Gouging. - Able to make any UT or RT Weld Repair.
Clean and stamp all welds.

Job Summary
Perform structural welding repairs to mining equipment such as repairing cracked or broken metal objects, building up metal parts, and pipe welding including stainless steel; knowledge of composition of ferrous and non-ferrous metals; effective use of oxyacetylene (O/A), stick (GMAW), and wire welding techniques; effective use of O/A, carbon arc, and plasma cutting techniques; design and fabricate metal components, tools, and jigs; read and comprehend service manual specified methods, procedures, schematic diagrams, and drawings; installation of shrink and press fit bushings, and conduct welding training.

Part-time Description
This position being an on-call, it does not have any regularly assigned work shifts and will be asked to work on an as-needed basis. The primary job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, supporting CVRF's Community Service Center by providing aluminum boat repairs, customization, small engine repair, fabrication projects, soliciting shop space, and handling fishermen bunk rentals.
Specific duties include:
Aluminum boat welding repairs, customizations and fabrications
Interacting with the public for requests for service, providing estimated costs, performing repairs and collecting fees for repairs and services
Facilitate shop and bunk room rentals, including collection of fees and verifying appropriate waivers have been signed
Complete work orders for services and rentals, forward to the Corporate office, and file on-site
Maintain technical knowledge, attend educational workshops, and review technical publications
Other duties as assigned
This position reports directly to the Region Mechanic/Welder Manager.
Starting wage: $DOE - Status: Non-Exempt Hourly - On-Call

Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, as well as previous welding and fabrication experience. Certification is a plus. Applicants should possess the ability to represent the company in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements:
In order to successfully perform the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate shop and welding machinery, communicate with others in person and over the phone, and move about inside an office/shop. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and move in excess of 50 lbs. The employee is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position also requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
