Duties and Responsibilities:
Weld any and all assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.
Inspect all welds for any obvious flaws (IE- Missing welds, Porosity, Incomplete Fusion, Undercut, Starts/Stops/Cracks, Excess reinforcement, Arc strike).
Training any new or existing welders on proper weld process techniques or improved welding techniques.
Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Responsible for welding assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.
Education and Experience:
High School education; Trade school preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience welding aluminum and stainless
Must demonstrate ability to weld in accordance with aerospace welding spec. AWS D17.1 and pass welder certification.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Must be able to pass annual eye examination.
Must be conversant in and read, write, and understand English.
Due to ITAR Restrictions, an export license may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
Perform high-quality welding on various materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
Conduct plasma cutting and oxy-acetylene and propane torch work for fabrication, repair, and salvage operations
Fabricate and repair metal components, frames, and structures for vessels, barges, and marine equipment.
Welding of padeyes and lashing brackets on different floating assets to support offshore operations.
Assist with marine salvage operations , including cutting, rigging, lifting, and structural recovery tasks.
Work safely and effectively in challenging environments , including on the water on crane barges, docks, and offshore job sites.
Operate and maintain welding, burning, and cutting equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
Collaborate closely with team members during heavy lift, dive, and salvage operations.
Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and maritime regulations .
Participate in the setup, mobilization, and demobilization of gear and work platforms for each project.
Support other departments when necessary, including general maintenance and field fabrication tasks.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma / GED
Valid driver's license
TWIC (or ability to obtain)
Minimum 2-4 years of welding experience
Strong supervisory, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel for extended durations on domestic and international projects.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in all weather and marine conditions.
Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background screening .
Preferred Attributes
Experience in working in the marine industry to include marine construction, vessel recovery, and wreck removal .
AWS or equivalent welding certs a plus (not required)
