What You'll do
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for executing financial projects consisting of gathering, analyzing, interpreting, communicating, and monitoring financial data to drive business results across Rural King. You will partner with key stakeholders to address financial information.
Support the financial project management needs of the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
Understand the business unit(s) and the operating systems that support them. Serve as a project resource defining and executing projects regarding various business initiatives.
Prepare business cases including financials and success factors for proposed operating and/or product changes.
May conduct pilot tests of proposed operating and/or product changes.
Complete post-audit of business cases after implementation is complete.
May manage projects independently that typically cross multiple business units, divisions, or states.
Create and maintain pro-forma and cash flow models for current and future areas/ projects.
Prepare and/or train others on financial systems and serve as a technical resource to accounting team.
Generate and present financial reporting to Finance Department.
Provide input for setting project priorities and for project results.
Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.

Essential Functions:

Work with investment and risk teams to analyze investment portfolio performance, attribution, and risk reports.
Evaluate performance and portfolio characteristics to assure compliance with the directives of the Trustees regarding investment objectives and constraints.
Manage the potential investment manager search process by certifying that all proper search related milestones are followed, all contractual agreements are in place, and all funding directives occur.
Assist in the research of the System's existing asset allocation and specific asset class structures, with a focus on optimizing the portfolio's risk/return profile.
Prepare statistical and narrative reports related to the TRS portfolio.
Evaluate markets and industry trends to provide relevant observations to the investment team.
Assist investment staff in negotiating and interacting at critical levels with external investment managers, consultants, and legal counsel.
Assist TRS investment accounting and custodian with all steps related to initial investment manager account set-up and ongoing performance calculations, fee assessments, and other related projects.
Research investment approaches, asset mixes, and portfolio management techniques to provide for incremental return to TRS's individual assets and at the total fund level.

**Responsibilities**
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of Oracle's Revenue Recognition, Internal Controls, Business Practices and Finance & Accounting policies
- Review and discuss assessments of non-standard, complex transactions internally with the Americas and Global RevRec teams and communicate accounting conclusions to external stakeholders
- Ensure consistent application of Revenue Recognition policies, practices and processes, promote continuous improvement
- Collaborate with external stakeholders during the pre-execution stage of contracts, provide rev rec guidance on deal structures and advise on ways to minimize risk and maximize revenue
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, promote a highly collaborative work environment and promote and provide training
- Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of Global RevRec and Americas team objectives and initiatives
- Review significant signed contracts for compliance with US GAAP ASC 606 and Oracle's Revenue Recognition Policy to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain an up to date, working knowledge of Global RevRec and Oracle systems, databases and communication tools
- Provide support to internal and external auditors and assist in special projects as assigned
