About the Role:
As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You'll operate specialized equipment-such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders-to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Material Handling: Unloads, stacks, and transports onion sacks (up to 50 bags at 50 pounds each, stacking to 6 feet and handling up to 3 loads per 8-hour shift) to designated storage or processing areas.
Production Support: Counts and dumps onion sacks into cutting hoppers; collects scrap onions in carts and empties into trash compactors; stacks, bales, and stores burlap sacks as needed.
Batter and Breading Management: Loads and elevates bags of batter/breading to the breading hopper room, and manually dumps 50 lb bags into hoppers for processing.
General Housekeeping: Maintains cleanliness by removing excess scrap, sweeping or shoveling floors, flushing with water, and assisting with machinery cleaning across multiple plant areas.
Product Traceability: Completes product recall tags for palletized products, verifies that packed product cases match recall tag counts, and enters all required production paperwork into the AS400 system in an accurate and timely manner.
Supply Distribution: Ensures packaging areas are consistently stocked with raw materials and supplies.
Cold Storage: Stacks cases onto pallets/slip sheets, stretch wraps, and transports finished and extruded onion ring products to cold storage as required.
Additional Tasks: Performs other duties as assigned, consistently applying established sanitation and safety protocols.

What You'll Do
Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
Participate in the training curriculum as an operator learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations while completing assigned duties required for certification
Change plastic extruding machine, set up according to production line changes following specifications on work orders, and examine products for nonconformance to specifications
Responsible for monitoring quality and accuracy of the line and scrap
Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment
Set up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production, of plastic extrusion lines).
Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture
Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers
Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

Essential Qualifications:
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
