We are looking for a Warehouse Team Member to join our team of employee-owners at our McHenry location! This is a full-time position, with $18.91/hour starting pay, a 40-hour workweek Monday-Friday, first-shift only. There are no night or weekend shifts and employees get major national holidays off and paid. Responsibilities include Preparing orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and staging orders Assisting with inventory management such as receiving, returns, and cycle counts. Able to pass backrgound and drug test Perform a variety of manual tasks in the rental yard in support of the entire branch operation. The primary objective is to provide labor assistance to mechanics, sales staff, and other branch personnel in order to meet the needs of customers. Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpieces, using hand tools and measuring devices. Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes. Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data. Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Responsible for machine change over and appropriate material setup. Examine work area at beginning and ending of each shift and during any machine changeover for safety and proper operations. Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws. Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers. Safely and efficiently prepares material for shipping. This includes proper identification, tagging and wrapping. Required to be a team player and collaborate with various departments to meet customer satisfaction. Physical demands: Standing: Prolonged periods of standing on production floor (up to 8-10 hours per shift). Walking: Frequent walking around production and packaging areas. Lifting: Occasionally lift and move products or materials up to 25-50 lbs. Bending/Stooping: Regular bending to inspect lower-level machinery or products. Plan so material and color changes happen in a timely manner, according to production schedule. Communicate potential shortages to Warehouse Leadership and Production. Verify back flushed materials are issued properly. Control and maintain scrap generated by production. Perform line clearances outside of the clean room. Fill out inventory tags for restock of material after orders are complete. Assemble cartons and containers using appropriate hand tools. Assist with Package and seal molded and/or assembled product per company and customer specifications as needed. Verify labels and product stacked on skids per lot information and product specification. Ensure proper performance of equipment pertaining to resins and materials. Clean and maintain auxiliary material handling systems and support equipment, including gaylords and grinders. Maintain housekeeping of material loading areas and airlock. Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Plan so materials and color changes happen in a timely manner, according to production schedule. The ideal candidate will move materials in the warehouse, CPG, Natural Ingredients, and load/ unload truck trailers or shipping containers.
