You will contribute by:
+ Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment. Record the correct count and pallet type for input upon completion of the PO.
+ Record shipment data into computer system, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. Maintain accurate counts on inbound freight to insure appropriate warehouse storage availability.
+ Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory through cycle/directed counting. Research customer service issues including, but not limited to shortages, overages and damages and recommend appropriate response.
+ Monitor warehouse management system for open invoices.
+ Support the even flow from receiving to shipping and communicate issues and concerns. Identify and monitor high volume and high dollar items during shipping process.
+ Label all pallets to be stocked and verify accuracy of inbound freight received by comparing the purchase order with the bill of lading. Record discrepancies on bill of lading and inform clerk and/or appropriate management of damage and inventory shortages
+ Set up items and slots to ensure maximum efficiency for shipping and receiving. Recognize potential inventory hazards including, but not limited to storage of raw or over cooked product..
+ Operate current warehouse management system. Utilize necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product.
+ Audit pick/reserve slots and keep rotation of product accurate, as needed.
+ Verify absence of rodent/pest activity in all inbound shipments and document any record of activity

Position Overview
Execute safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the shipping department at the Sheboygan site. The operator must safely load and ship bulk outbound material into tank trucks, totes and drums, receive and transport to storage inbound material from both internal and external customers. Efficiently moves product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.
Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.
Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma /GED equivalent. Associates degree an added plus.
1-3 years of machinist experience preferred.
Requires basic mathematical, measuring, & computer skills.
Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with other employees.

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. In addition, the Loader Operator will be required to maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility. Furthermore, the Loader Operator will be responsible for the daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine. In addition, the operator will maintain a safe work environment and be required to follow and be held accountable to company guidelines for safe loader operation. Finally, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operates company equipment safely.
Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Records vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operates digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Sets up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Provides service to customers as needed.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor.
Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
HS diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Occasional O.T. as needed.
Bilingual skills a plus.
Pay $21.05 - $23.71 per hour
