Run machines at established rates, follow the production schedule, continuously monitor machine performance, and document any variables that may cause machine downtime * Monitor machine operation observing indicators such as vision system, heater temperature and product weight to detect machine malfunctions and use those indicators to troubleshoot to maintain machine operation * Perform adjustments and service on machine/equipment as required by specific process * Perform preventative maintenance activities * Perform machine specific cleaning and service to the machine * Use RF scanner to scan transactions to the Warehouse and Production area using SAP system * Maintain process specific production supplies and materials in the work area using a manual pallet jack and/or forklift * Perform process specific quality checks and make machine adjustments to resolve quality issues * Record data on specified forms and complete required line documentation * Communicate production and machine issues to the supervisor and other production personnel * Perform housekeeping and machine sanitation requirements * Assist other operators as required and relieve other line personnel for breaks and lunch * Assist in training other process operators and process support personnel such as material handlers * Comply with all company policies and procedures including GMP, PPE, HACCP, LOTO, and JSA regulations * Responsible for ensuring, where applicable, the product safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and legality of all products produced and sold * Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable * Package product per specifications * Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned by supervisor at any time with or without notice * High School Diploma or equivalent, or trade school preferred • Prior work experience as an Operator, 6 months to 1 year with mechanical experience. * 3+ years of equivalent experience or experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment with 1+ years of machine operator experience * The incumbent must have basic operating knowledge and understanding of computer systems OTHER REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: * English written and oral required. * If need will be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License * Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds * Must have good attendance, be a team player, and be able to work overtime as required * Ability to multitask in fast paced warehouse environment * Ability to work on feet for extended periods * Ability to read and comprehend instructions. * Problem solving/reasoning * Basic computer skills and basic math skills * Attention to detail * Ability to teach and continually learn * Ability to work in a team environment * Previous experience operating industrial machinery preferred * Ability to operate manual pallet jack and/or electric pallet jack. Ability to use RF scanner for SAP transactions. Knowledge of the use hand tools and the ability to use hand tools. Knowledge of machine operation and electronic and/or manual machine controls to operate the machine and run production. Knowledge of machine systems that may include mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. * Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures. Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in work area. Ability to work in an operating environment that may include a machine configuration that requires interface with material handlers.
