Job Description
• Days and Shift Information: Nonnegotiable 12-hour swing shifts; must be willing to work days and nights. PTO after 40 hours - guaranteed 48 hours / 8 hours of overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain heavy-duty forklifts (Taylor lift), yard vehicles, and equipment.

Outdoor work all day except when in the truck. The mill is part of Nucor Corp, the largest scrap metal recycler in North America. Minimal advancement opportunities (next step is foreman).
Qualifications

Position Summary
The Loader is responsible for properly loading all orders on a trailer.

Responsibilities
Properly load all orders on trailer including proper placement of cooler/freezer, cigarettes/tobacco products, and other miscellaneous goods in order of deliveries, and scanning of product onto the truck.
Must secure load, monitor freezer temperatures, and utilize wrapper to secure all pallets.
Make room on the back for drivers' access.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Experience and Skills Required
High school diploma, G.E.D or 2+ years warehouse experience
18 years or older
Walk / stand for 8 or more hours daily
Must be able to operate pallet jack / warehouse equipment
Must be able to lift 75lb +
Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl to reach freight
Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

Scope of Work:
The Tractor Operator drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor to move materials, draw implements, tow trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor.
* Adjusts equipment for proper operation.
* Lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
* Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, such as 4 wheel-drive tractors, zero turn mowers, street sweeping equipment, backhoes, skid loaders, fork trucks, dump trucks, snow plowing equipment, etc.
* Tow equipment such as rotary mowers, grader bar, sprayers, fertilizer- spreaders, etc.
* Operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds and road medians.
* Frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical controls. Examples of equipment operated at this level are mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, and movable dozer blades.
* Perform preventive maintenance on grounds maintenance equipment such as filter and fluid replacement, maintaining lubrication schedules, spark plug replacement, belt and mower deck adjustments, mower blade sharpening and balancing, and equipment cleaning.
* Operate various types of grounds maintenance equipment such as jack hammers, weed eaters, powered wheelbarrows, motorized man lifts, post-hole diggers, etc.
* Prune trees and shrubbery with hand tools, hedge trimmers and chainsaw.
* Couple equipment to the tractor and make required adjustments during operation.
* Complete daily equipment inspection sheets or manufacturers required maintenance schedules.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* Ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start,
* Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving industrial or commercial tractors.
* Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent.
* Ability to speak, read, and write English.
* Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
* Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
* Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
* Ability to follow policies and procedures.
* Ability to follow basic operating instructions.
* Demonstrated aptitude for successful completions of assigned tasks
* Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
* Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
* Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
* Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
