JOB SUMMARY:
The teacher assistant in Gads Hill Center's center-based early childhood program is responsible for delivering comprehensive early childhood education services to children in a safe, nurturing environment. In this position, the teacher assistant is expected to collaborate effectively with their teaching team and participate fully in planning, organizing and implementing structured educational activities based on program curriculum. At all times, teachers must ensure adherence with licensing standards and funder requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with teaching team to provide a classroom environment that is reflective of diverse races, cultures and languages; adapt teaching in response to children's differences.
Supports smooth operation of the program by assisting in alternate classrooms as assigned.
Prepares attendance records, lesson plans, meal preparation sheets, child development files, anecdotal and developmental observations on each child, maintaining confidentiality of family records and information.
Documents children's growth and development using written observations, photography and assessment tools.
Utilizes developmental screening tools to determine individual needs of children and assists in individualizing curriculum.
Meets with classroom team weekly to complete lesson plans, reporting requirements, and discuss individual children‘s needs. Brings up these observations/needs/concerns in weekly staffing meetings. Attends staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other appropriate child development conferences and workshops.
Participates with the classroom team in planning preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate child initiated and teacher directed activities for individuals and small/large groups of children. These activities should address needs identified in assessments of children and promote multiculturalism, present challenges and develop critical thinking skills.
Assists center personnel in planning field trips and other enrichment activities.
Welcomes parents into the classroom, develops a positive relationship with them and provides experiences and activities that enhance their roles as the primary influence in their child's growth and development. Assists parents in identifying and fully utilizing available community resources. Utilize the assistance of the Family Support Staff, Mental Health Consultants, and other professionals to refer parents as needed.
Encourages parents to become involved in the classroom, as well as the Parent Committee and Policy Committee.
Participates in home visits scheduled twice per year at designated time.
Actively supervises assigned group of children to ensure safety.
Demonstrates knowledge of DCFS, Early Head Start and Prevention Initiative standards; implements them in all aspects of work.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (average child's weight).
Understands and adheres to NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Code of Ethics.
Participates in Center-wide events, programs and celebrations as required.
Participates in 40 hours of staff development training per year.
Performs other duties as assigned.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, all Gads Hill Center employees are responsible for the following:
Participate in agency outreach and recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
Participates in supervision meetings and workshops within the agency and outside (if applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Gateways Infant Toddler Credential Level 3 required.
One (1) year previous direct early childhood classroom experience with low-income families.
Experience with multi-cultural programming preferred.
Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Family Support Worker in Gads Hill Center's Head Start Partner Network is responsible for providing comprehensive support to families. Family Support Workers are expected to develop a relationship with parents and/or guardians during the initial enrollment process, and to support parents in setting and achieving goals, as well as connecting them to resources to meet families' needs. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring achievement of all assigned milestones established by the grantee in education, health, mental health, family and community partnerships, disabilities and ERSEA. Family Support Workers play a key role in engaging parents and empowering them to be advocates for their families through education. Finally, Family Support Workers in the Partner Network provide key support by monitoring compliance at all partner sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts all components of enrollment, including entry of accurate data into COPA and family assessment.
Refers families to resources, according to needs. Documents referrals and progress towards goals and conducts follow-up with families regarding referrals on a regular basis.
Helps parents establish a medical home to access continuous health services for children and monitor health records in collaboration with the Partner Network Manager.
Maintains up-to-date data in COPA regarding all family partnership agreements, family assessments, case notes, and referrals.
Monitors all component data on a regular-basis and follows-up with families on missing documentation on a regular-basis, making sure to document all efforts.
Participates and assists with the Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start CCP self-assessment.
Conducts weekly site visits to build rapport with site staff and parents.
Identifies potential partner community agencies, such as but not limited to, medical and dental clinics, workforce development, and other agencies that offer family resources.
Maintains an up-to-date community resource directory in conjunction with the site to assist parents in identifying and accessing local community resources.
Attends monthly parent meetings to develop good rapport with parents and ensure involvement of parents in the Parent Policy Committee.
Collaborates with education and mental health staff to initiate referrals to Early Intervention and Chicago Public Schools.
Gathers all necessary documentation and submits it to the Disabilities Manager to obtain evaluation for services.
Works with site and parents to ensure that meetings and evaluations occur and that children are receiving services, as needed, thereafter.
Performs record-keeping and other reporting functions, as required, and submits monthly reports to the Partner Network Manager in a timely manner.

Summary
This position will report directly to the Dean of the School of Environmental Sustainability and is responsible for the direct support of the Dean in day-to-day operations, as well as divisional support related to School administration, operations, and program support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Assistant to the Dean (35%)
1. Oversee management of Dean's Office, including: calendar management; special projects; and SES faculty and staff meetings and retreats coordination.
2. Manage Dean's Procard reconciliation, including collecting receipts and submitting monthly reconciliations via the PNC Bank online portal.
3. Schedule flights, hotels, and general travel plans for Dean's professional travel schedule.

HR (15%)
1. Support the Associate Dean of Faculty and search committees in hiring and onboarding all new full-time faculty, including full search logistics (travel, scheduling, expense reimbursements, etc.). The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, an expressed interest in environmental issues, and an interest in working in a higher education setting. Five years of related experience and a working knowledge of business and management principles involved in the coordination of people, projects, events, and resources are required. We are particularly seeking candidates with strong project management and organizational skills and an advanced level of understanding and use of technology, including the full Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Adobe Products.

Summary:
Law School Computing Services (LSCS) delivers efficient and effective technical support services to Law School students, staff, and faculty across all the Law School's programs (Full-time and Weekend J.D. and non-J.D. programs) that enhance the educational experience and promote operational excellence consistent with ABA requirements. LSCS partners with Law School's Offices of the Dean, Administration, and Academic Affairs to establish the Law School's strategic vision, priorities, and goals related to instructional and classroom technology. Additionally, LSCS collaborates with University Information Technology Services to advocate for the technology needs of the Law School and to promote the implementation of technology best practices. To meet the evolving needs of the Law School and to ensure continued compliance with ABA standards, LSCS is open and receptive to new information, ideas, and approaches, works to keep abreast of new and evolving technologies, and is adaptable. All members of the LSCS team are prepared to respond to changing priorities based on the time of the semester and special projects and initiatives. The ability to work on evenings or weekends to support special events, Weekend JD in-person sessions, and final exams is required.
The Law School Sr. Technology Specialist provides complex technical computing and instructional technology support to Law School faculty, staff, students and events and supports project-based work. This position supports classroom technology systems and executes a range of technical tasks and troubleshooting related to Law School desktop and classroom hardware, software, and systems. The Sr. Technology Specialist proactively communicates with the LSCS team and members of the community regarding service requests, events, or other tasks and projects, creates user documentation, and provides training to Law faculty, staff and students, as directed.
This position requires the ability to work as a senior member of a team to identify, investigate, research and resolve complex problems and perform technical functions, routine and nonroutine classroom technology and system maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of all Law School desktop, server and classroom technology systems. The successful candidate will be open and receptive to new information, ideas, and approaches; work to keep abreast of new and evolving technologies; have the ability to respond to changing priorities based on the time of the semester and special projects and initiatives; and be adaptable to benefit the needs of the unit and School of Law.
All staff in the School of Law report to the Associate Dean for Administration. Additionally, the Law School Sr. Technology Specialist is accountable to the Director of Law School Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. In partnership with the Director of Law Technology, provide complex technical computing support, technical leadership, and training to LSCS team members and the School of Law faculty, staff, and students. With the Director of Law Technology, establish priorities for service request resolution and coordinate which resources are required to resolve open service requests according to established procedures. This includes:
* Assisting with routine and non-routine questions and service requests regarding desktop and classroom technology systems and managing requests through the tracking system through to completion.
* Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Law school Windows and Mac hardware and software, including deploying new hardware, maintaining a hardware and software inventory database, installing new software releases, system upgrades and patches on Law School systems, configuring and optimizing AD Group policies and user objects, recommending modifications to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and user experience, and other tasks as assigned. This requires in-depth knowledge of one or more operating systems.
* Documenting, developing, and conducting user trainings for LSCS staff and the Law School community on Law School software, hardware, and instructional technology systems.
* Delegating work to team members and supervising student workers, as directed.
2. Provide routine and non-routine classroom technology and media support to Law faculty, staff and student users. This may require irregular and/or weekend hours. Support includes:
* Providing maintenance, updates and troubleshooting of classroom technology systems;
* Supporting the Weekend JD Program;
* Advising faculty and staff on classroom technology requirements and limitations;
* Preparing room(s) with proper equipment for events (e.g. classroom teaching, meetings, seminars, etc.); and
* Troubleshooting issues as they arise for online course/conference moderators and attendees.
3. Support Law School Exams. Assist with the pre-exam setup, communication, and support during exam periods. This may require irregular, evening, and/or weekend hours.
4. Work as a member of a team on various types of technology projects that support Law staff, faculty, students and departments. This includes responding to changing priorities based on the time of the semester and special projects and initiatives, alternating between desktop and instructional technology support to meet the needs of the unit, working independently and with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve service requests and questions from Law School users, and proactively asking questions and seeking clarification.
5. Maintain security protocols for Law School systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
6. Work collaboratively and proactively communicate to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
7. Be available to support the various educational programs and conferences taking place at the law school, including the Weekend JD program.
8. Perform additional tasks as needed, supporting various IT projects and contributing to operational improvements.
