The work is often extremely dusty and direct and of such nature that protective equipment and clothing such as hard hats, safety shoes, goggles, respirators, and ear protection are required, whether working indoors and outdoors. Some work is performed in the shop area where incumbent is exposed to moderate or high noise levels from operating machinery, saw dust in the air, fumes, and hazards associated with power equipment or preservatives. Occasionally the work may be performed outside under adverse weather conditions. Other environmental factors such as stinging and biting insects, snakes, and poisonous plants can be encountered. Assignments could involve working with hazardous materials, such as rodent nests, asbestos, and lead-based products, etc. To reduce the dangers, the incumbent is required to follow prescribed safety practices.

Qualifications

This position provides care coordination to individuals assigned to Community Corrections for supervision and are referred to Crawford County Mental Health for coordination and case management services. The goal is to ensure that persons assigned through the 11th Judicial Center will have access to mental health treatment. This position will serve as a liaison between CCMHC and Community Corrections to assist with setting up treatment, coordinating the delivery of services, providing short-term case management, promoting skill development, and assist with ensuring follow-through for all scheduled appointments. The specialist will provide assistance in the form of direct support, providing and assisting with community referrals, modeling, supervision, and support completion of tasks. Most contacts will occur in community locations.

Credential and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from high school or equivalency is required.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the various behavioral health fields such as clinical psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, rehabilitation or closely related degree, is preferred.
A valid driver's license is required.
Pass pre-employment background checks.
Previous experience in a community mental health center.
Experience in helping professions and occupations is desired and helpful.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Staff will meet competency expectations, including integration of evidence-based practices and required certifications by successfully completing the following training which will be conducted in all of the following manners, but limited to in-person training, online training, webinars, seminars, workshops, and self-directed training. All training, certifications, and competencies will be documented by completion certificates when available and maintained by the Training department.
Obtain Certification for Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training. MOAB is an in-depth training program that teaches individuals how to recognize, reduce, and manage violent and aggressive behavior. Training provided.
MOAB training requires controlled movements, body positioning, and the ability to perform physical holds and restraint techniques.
The focus of MOAB training is to use techniques that can be effectively applied by employees of varying physical capabilities while minimizing potential harm to both the individual being restrained and the trained themselves.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Required to follow dress code policies of any alternative work locations, including but not limited to schools, jails, courts, detention centers, other community partners, etc.
Collaborate with Community Corrections staff to address challenges that create barriers for receiving mental health services.
Participate in case staffing to address risk/needs and to identify strategies to reduce risk.
Assist Community Corrections staff to complete applications for benefits and assist with securing benefits.
Serve as a point of contact for updates on joint clients.
Assist in assessment of client needs.
Assist in the development of treatment plans.
Assist clients in accessing community-based resources including providing transportation for clients when necessary and supporting access to other health-related providers.
Assist clients in implementing tasks related to treatment plan goals.
Collaborate with community partners and agencies to assist in following treatment plan goals and to assist in securing appropriate community resources.
Advocate and empower clients to ensure that appropriate services are provided, and necessary benefits are secured.
Work closely with clinical and medical staff in the provision of medication services.
Provide information and support to family members of clients as appropriate.
Assist with crisis management as needed.
Complete all required documentation for services provided in the electronic medical record in a timely manner. Update demographic information as applicable.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining required repairs; ensuring truck is safe to operate in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
Loads truck with ready mix concrete according to prescribed procedures, including charging hopper and checking slump.
Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; maintaining schedule.
Discharge concrete which involves movement of extension chutes and placing on main chute, driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian traffic, various construction obstacles, and off-road driving conditions.
Wash residual concrete from truck and maintain all parts of the truck in clean, safe and operable condition.
Maintains safe operation at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (READY MIX CONCRETE TRUCK DRIVER)
Must possess a current Medical Card as required by DOT Regulations.
Physical demand requires HEAVY level work:
Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
Up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or
Up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Frequently use fine motor skills, physical coordination, and visual acuity / depth perception for safe driving of vehicle.
Frequent extension of arms overhead for cleaning vehicle, climbing ladder, entering / exiting vehicle, loading materials into / onto vehicle, and various job specific tasks repetitively throughout work period.

Position Description:
This position provides goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the client's individualized treatment plan. This position also facilitates services that are designed to assist the client with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. At times this position will provide services to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis with services designed to interrupt and/or ameliorate a crisis experience. As medically necessary this position will provide assistance in the form of direct support, supervision, and/or queueing so that the client performs the task by him/herself. The majority of contacts will occur in community locations where the client lives, works, attends school and/or socializes. This position conducts activities under the direction of senior clinical staff.

Credential and Experience Requirements:
· Must be at least 21 years old.
· High school diploma or GED required.
· A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the various behavioral health fields such as, clinical psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, rehabilitation or closely related degree, is preferred.
· A valid driver's license is required.
· Pass pre-employment background checks.
· Certification in the State of Kansas to provide this service is required.
· Experience working with behaviorally challenged children with a mental health diagnosis preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Staff will meet competency expectations, including integration of evidence-based practices and required certifications by successfully completing the following training which will be conducted in all of the following manners, but limited to in-person training, online training, webinars, seminars, workshops, and self-directed training. All training, certifications, and competencies will be documented by completion certificates when available and maintained by the Training department.
Obtain Certification for Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training. MOAB is an in-depth training program that teaches individuals how to recognize, reduce, and manage violent and aggressive behavior. Training provided.
· MOAB training requires controlled movements, body positioning, and the ability to perform physical holds and restraint techniques.
· The focus of MOAB training is to use techniques that can be effectively applied by employees of varying physical capabilities while minimizing potential harm to both the individual being restrained and the trained themselves.
