Your Opportunity The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Design Manager in the delivery of transportation design build projects across North America for large and mid-size construction. May mentor junior employees, assist with work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management. The position will also provide hydrogeology support to the Water Resources Business Line. This position is based out of Stantec's West Palm Beach office. The Hydrogeologist will report to a Hydrogeologist Team Leader and will be responsible for designing, supporting, and executing hydrogeological investigations for dewatering, water supply, and aquifer recharge studies for water supply clients. This candidate also will be responsible for leading a large capacity production well design and construction projects. The successful candidate should have a background in drilling groundwater production wells, familiar with deep injection well construction, ability to oversee and support groundwater flow modeling, field investigations, conduct aquifer performance tests, project management, and technical report writing. Coordinate design feedback to Design Consultant(s). + Conduct design review sessions with stakeholders and oversee design feedback input. + Work with the Client Sustainability Manager to Monitor and track sustainability plan development and LEED component tracking in coordination with Design Consultant. + Confirm all resolved design issues have been incorporated into design submittal packages. + Coordinate reviews of submittals/ shop drawings from client project stakeholders, including subject matter experts, airport operations, and project team. + Work with the Client Commissioning Manager to support start-up and commissioning efforts as necessary including witnessing performance testing. + Support project close-out activities related to Design Consultant obligations and deliverables. + Develop the scope for design consultants. + Verify all project level designs follow codes and standards. + Verify all project level designs follow regulatory and environmental requirements. + Enforce client's CADD and BIM framework, environment, policy and procedures. **Qualifications:** + Must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture or Engineering. + Overall working knowledge of the architectural, engineering, and systems elements of airports infrastructure and supporting facilities. + Demonstrable establishment of collaborative relationships with stakeholders involved in planning, design, and construction of airport facilities (airport, community and government). + Minimum 15 years of experience in the management of project design including significant time at airports. + Experience in the design development of new/expanded facilities while maintaining operations. + Professional registration is required at this level.
