The mission of the FAA's Voice Switch & Recorder (VS&R) Program Office's VoICE program is to provide a flexible, network-based voice communication enterprise system to replace aging, increasingly expensive to maintain legacy voice switches. VoICE will provide voice communications services to Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS), supervisors, and ancillary Air Traffic Control (ATC) operators in support of 24x7 ATC operations in the Terminal and En Route domains of the National Airspace System (NAS).
