What you will do
You will increase market share by strategically selling Johnson Controls' HVAC products and services to commercial customers. General Responsibilities
The HVACTechnician shall:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules of HVAC systems, consistent with manufacturers' recommendations and industry best practices.
Install, operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including refrigeration components.
Diagnose and repair electronic, pneumatic, and digital control systems (Direct Digital Controls, Energy Monitoring and Control Systems).

Perform preventive maintenance on hydronic, air distribution, and HVAC chemical treatment systems.

Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one.
Experience with complex HVAC systems, EMCS/DDC controls, and healthcare facilities preferred.
Familiarity with NFPA 99, ASHRAE standards, and OSHA requirements.
Will have knowledge of the construction characteristics of a variety of types and models of systems designed to reach and maintain critical and extreme conditions under various circumstances.
Handle and carry tools, equipment, and testing devices that can up to 50 pounds.
Must hold a valid state driver's license.

What You'll Do:
Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and rack systems
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment specifications
Perform system startups, diagnostics, and pressure tests on refrigeration and HVAC systems
Charge systems with refrigerant and ensure proper system functionality
Identify and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults
Collaborate with project foremen, engineers, and contractors to meet project timelines
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local codes and safety regulations
Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and job site logs
Assist in the layout and piping of refrigeration systems during project buildouts
Follow all company safety protocols and participate in job site safety meetings
What You Bring:
3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration and/or hot side equipment
EPA Certification
(Universal required)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude

Position Summary
Responsible for servicing HVAC mechanical equipment, performing system diagnostics and repairs, conducting equipment start-ups, and providing advanced technical troubleshooting. Performs inspections and quality control reviews on RK Service work to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability.
Role Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems
* Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in large-scale commercial equipment
* Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and code compliance
* Troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS), controls, and sensors
* Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
* Perform detailed system inspections and identify deficiencies or potential failures
* Complete quality control inspections on completed service work to ensure company standards are met
* Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime for commercial clients
* Accurately document service activities, findings, and repair recommendations
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes
* Communicate technical information clearly with facility managers, engineers, and project teams
Qualifications
* Indirect Supervision.
* Hold and retain relevant H/CFC universal license
* Experience with RTU's, Boilers, MAU's, AHU's, Fans, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VAV/FPB's. Automation Systems, Chillers
* Understanding of Hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits and components
Minimum Physical Requirements
* Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas
* Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations
* Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch
* Work in all types of weather
* Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
* Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects
