In 1829 our founders brought an enterprising vision to the prairie and changed the face of education in the region.

1835

The state’s first two college graduates earned degrees from Illinois College in 1835.

1932

In 1932 the society of Phi Beta Kappa established a chapter at Illinois College, and it remains one of only 11 in the state.

2020

Her edited volume, A Cultural History of Work: the Medieval Age (800-1450) (Bloomsbury Press), which includes her own piece on "Work, Skill, and Technology," is part of the multivolume work which won the 2020 Prose Award for multivolume reference in the humanities.
