Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. Youll promote independence, respect, and dignity while helping clients achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
Support individuals with meal prep, feeding, shopping, and household tasks
Promote independence through life skills coaching, goal tracking, and community engagement
Transport clients to appointments, recreational activities, jobs, etc.
Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and Functional Assessments
Manage client financial ledgers daily, with weekly verification and monthly reconciliation
Maintain accurate documentation using QuickMAR and internal DICE systems
Assist with medication administration and follow nurse delegation guidelines
Adhere to DICE policies and procedures at all times
Participate in all mandatory DICE training sessions and ongoing development
Respond to emergencies, follow safety protocols, and report incidents per DICE IR policy
Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid WA drivers license and reliable transportation with insurance
Ability to pass a background check per DSHS guidelines
CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Positive Behavior Support training (provided if needed)
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-driven

Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. Youll promote independence, respect, and dignity while helping clients achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
Support individuals with meal prep, feeding, shopping, and household tasks
Promote independence through life skills coaching, goal tracking, and community engagement
Transport clients to appointments, recreational activities, jobs, etc.
Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and Functional Assessments
Manage client financial ledgers daily, with weekly verification and monthly reconciliation
Maintain accurate documentation using QuickMAR and internal DICE systems
Assist with medication administration and follow nurse delegation guidelines
Adhere to DICE policies and procedures at all times
Participate in all mandatory DICE training sessions and ongoing development
Respond to emergencies, follow safety protocols, and report incidents per DICE IR policy
Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid WA drivers license and reliable transportation with insurance
Ability to pass a background check per DSHS guidelines
CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Positive Behavior Support training (provided if needed)
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-driven

Horizon Project is a non-profit that provides 24/7 support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and dependable people to support our clients in their homes and out in the community. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help our clients with activities of daily living, housekeeping, cooking, personal care, medications, and community outings. No prior experience or certifications are required!
Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 per hour, DOE (Full pay scale maxes out at $22)
Job Duties:
Administer client medications according to doctor's orders and document it on the computer (Therap)
Promote client independence and help them reach their personal goals
Keep the client's home clean and safe in compliance with state licensing and OSHA requirements
Assist with monitoring client money and state benefits
Help clients bathe and shower, brush their teeth, and go to the bathroom
Cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping
Go with clients on community outings (museum, concerts, county fair)
Use a company vehicle to transport clients around the community (not applicable to graveyard shift)
Calmly respond to client behaviors or verbal aggression
Comfortable working with male and female clients
Schedule:
Friday-Monday Swing Shift (must have a valid driver's license)
