Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles. Understanding of relevant manufacturing methods, including detailed drawing dimensioning and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Design and CAD experience for tooling and fixtures, virtual builds, factory layouts (2D/3D), and assembly equipment. Daily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers. * Evaluate composite manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed * Interpret composite tooling/parts requirements * Assist with material selection, especially with fiber-reinforced polymers and resins * Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions and travelers * Troubleshoot issues specific to composite manufacturing (e.g., delamination, fiber misalignment) * Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of composite tooling/parts * Recommend and implement improvements in composite processing techniques (e.g., autoclave, resin infusion, hand lay-up) * Ensure designs and processes meet FAA, EASA, DoD, and company-specific requirements * Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams during lamination and assembly * Assistant in resolving shop-floor issues such as material, curing cycles, and bonding issues * Improve manufacturability, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle times * Support first article inspections (FAI), when applicable * Maintain configuration control and adherence to quality management systems (AS9100/NADCAP) * Contribute to corporate quality policy and objectives * Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance * Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance * Other duties as assigned Requirements/Qualifications: * Hands-on experience with composite materials and processes is highly desirable * Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads * Ability to work with a diverse group of external and internal contacts at all levels of the organization * Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills required * Expansive experience in quality systems (AS9100/NADCAP) preferred * Experience with CAD (CATIA) * High School diploma or GED required * Bachelor's degree in a composites engineering -related field preferred Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required- No sponsorship offered.
