The Role
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing, sourcing, and executing high-quality, cost-effective packaging solutions that meet brand, quality, and sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
Packaging Development & Engineering
• Translate creative design concepts into functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective packaging solutions
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards, functionality, and cost objectives
• Interpret and approve engineering documents, including die lines, material specifications, and technical drawings

Supplier Management & Sourcing

Qualifications Required

What You Will Do:
Lead the development, optimization, and transfer of new and existing manufacturing processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
Develop and execute process validation protocols, qualification activities, and technical documentation
Provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM) during product development
Analyze process capability data and use statistical tools to solve complex problems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering
Mentor technicians or junior engineers while coordinating development builds and pilot runs
Work directly with customers to support technical needs and propose process improvements
Requirements
What You Bring:
Bachelor's in engineering or a related field
3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of process design, quality systems, and Lean/Six Sigma
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Ability to travel to our Mexico facility and other U.S. sites as needed
Industry experience preferred (e.g., motors, aerospace, or similar manufacturing)

We are open to filling the filling the position as hybrid or remote, depending on the candidate, however, regular on-site visits will be required.
This position is eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus program based on company performance goals. Bonus payouts are not guaranteed and are determined at the company's discretion.
Salary Description:
$75,000 - $100,000 annual DOQ
