Physical Requirements:

ROLE SUMMARY
Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1/Units). This position reports to the building principal and provides day-to-day support of students. QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE

ROLE SUMMARY
Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1/Units) - This position reports to the building principal and provides day-to-day support of students. Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties.
QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Associate's Degree or higher.

Passing of the Parapro Assessment examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
Prior experience working with children desirable.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit issued by the State of Ohio
The successful candidate shall have the training, skills and ability necessary to:
Must be able to communicate effectively, problem solve and work independently.
Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.
Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
