On the battlefield, success depends on accurate and timely intel. As an Army National Guard IntelligenceAnalyst, you will play a key role in the interpretation and exploitation of information gathered from or about the threat. IntelligenceAnalysts provide Guard personnel with information about enemy forces and potential battle areas, and use information derived from all intelligence disciplines to determine changes in enemy capabilities, vulnerabilities, and probable courses of action. You'll gain Military Intelligence training, education, and a security clearance that could open doors to rewarding career opportunities with other intelligence agencies.
Specific duties of the IntelligenceAnalyst may include: preparing all-source intelligence products; providing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Synchronization support; processing incoming reports and messages; determining the significance and reliability of incoming information; establishing and maintaining systematic, cross-referencing intelligence records and files; integrating incoming information with current intelligence holdings; and preparing and maintaining enemy situational graphics.

Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Supervises and maintains discipline and control of resident's at all times. Performs searches of resident's person and physical areas in order to prevent and control secretion or contraband. Observes and monitors resident's activities and interactions while enforcing policy, rules and regulations. Follows established security procedure in controlling visitors, staff, resident and vehicular traffic to prevent the admittance or exit of unauthorized persons and the introductions of contraband. Takes and reports periodic counts of residents. Responds to emergency situations on accordance with appropriate contingency plans. Subject to regular rotation of post and/or shift assignment within the facility. Corrections Officers are required to weapons qualify under KDOC guidelines during initial training and on an annual basis.
Corrections Officer I (A)s are evaluated on their ability to observe and recall inmate behavior, surroundings and events; write clear and complete sentences; respond to emergencies quickly, climb stairs and use physical force to subdue violent and resisting residents; remain alert over long periods of time; remain calm during stressful situations; and interact with residents and co-workers to establish and maintain effective working relationships. The incumbent must be capable of preforming Essential Physical Functions. An initial 12-month probationary period is required for new Corrections Officers.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
* Supervise, maintain discipline and control of residents at all times.
* Shake down physical areas of the facility and perform pat downs of residents to prevent and control the secreting of contraband.
* Applies mechanical restraints when necessary.
* Observes resident activity and interactions in the area of responsibility while enforcing policies, rules and regulations.
* Conduct and report periodic counts of residents.
* Reports incidents and behavior that deviate from the resident's general profile or that could cause an immediate problem.
* Responds to emergency situations in accordance with appropriate contingency plans.
Qualifications

* Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduation from High School or equivalent. Must possess valid, current driver's license. Must be 18 years of age, free from misdemeanor convictions involving domestic battery as an adult, unless the conviction was for a battery committed prior to July 1, 1997 and has been expunged. Must be free of Felony convictions. Must be able to perform the physical functions deemed essential for this classification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Corrections Officer by the Secretary of Corrections. This certification is only issued upon completion of the Corrections Officer basic training and must be renewed annually as prescribed by the Secretary. Ability to deal effectively with individuals. Knowledge of procedures and practices of supervising inmates confined to an adult maximum correctional institution. Ability to use physical force as warranted to subdue violent inmates.

* Must take and pass a drug screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services. Must pass a physical exam, background investigation and submit a State of Kansas Tax Clearance.
