The Job You Will Perform:

* Coordinate outage and other routine work as needed, which may include review of bid proposals and planned spending to ensure maximum value is achieved
* Serve as a contractor coordinator (owner's rep) as required
* Support improvements in a healthy and highly functioning basic care process
* Lead ongoing improvement efforts in reliability pacesetter elements
* Participate in the 5S program for the area, including leading 5S improvement projects as needed
* Participate in cost reduction program idea generation and implementation process
* Provide support for capital project development and implementation
* Implement systems to improve/sustain results, including PI processbook pages, excel spreadsheet tools, Proficy based centerlining systems, etc.
* Participate in accountability follow-ups with employees as needed and when appropriate.
* Manage area costs and meet budget.
* Provide support for budgeting cycle targeted at delivering year over year savings
* Fulfill weekend duty team leadership role for the Pulp department
* Lead and sustain continual improvement in the Manufacturing Excellence culture within the department

The Mechanical Reliability Leader is the lead mechanical reliability position in the facility and manages the mechanical reliability organization and its efforts across the entire mill. Riverdale Mill, located in SelmaAL, is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two machines, one producing Brite Top liner and one producing uncoated free sheet. In addition to the machines, the mill includes multiple process lines, including wood handling, pulping, power and recovery, sheeting operations and effluent treatment. The MRL is responsible for developing a team of highly skilled reliability engineers and hourly reliability technicians tasked with successfully executing all reliability elements, including the RCFA process, preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM), mechanical (MPM), lubrication excellence, and world class MWS processes, among others. The MRL is also responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics, communicating those metrics to the mill team, and using a data based approach to develop reliability strategies to ensure the mill performs at world class reliability levels. Finally, this position ensures alignment with company reliability programs, and also the implementation of new or improved reliability systems to ensure all progress is sustained. This position reports to the Maintenance Improve Manager and has approximately 10 salaried and 15 hourly reliability technicians within the organization.

* Reduce unscheduled downtime to world class levels, both reducing cost and improving mill stability/efficiency
* Champion reliability efforts across the mill, including communication of the compelling case for mechanical reliability to all hourly and salaried team members

The Job You Will Perform:
The Power & Chemical area is comprised of two Lime Kilns, three sets of black liquor Evaporators, influent and effluent treatment systems, two black liquor Recovery Boilers, two bark & natural gas Power Boilers, and two hydrogen cooled turbine generators. This area is divided between four area managers who cover various portions of the process. Area manager's with backgrounds in any of the above processes are welcome to apply. Manager duties include the following.
* They are responsible for the day to day manufacturing needs in a manner that delivers target results in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, production, and cost.
* Lead their area to injury free work environment through leadership by example and modeling safe behaviors
* Lead the safety processes including safety work systems, safety observations, and operator safety training
* Maintain high standards in their area. Standards should be communicated clearly and upheld through accountability.
* Lead and sustain continual improvement with a Manufacturing Excellence culture
* Lead ongoing improvements efforts in IEPM, MWS, RCFA, Basic Care, and Preventative Maintenance efforts to continue meeting or exceeding world class standards. Develop, maintain, and use reliable methods for all processes and improvements
* Assist with prioritization of daily and scheduled maintenance work along with coordination of manpower scheduling
* Plan and execute Annual outages
* Ensure a quality product is produced for our internal customers
* Foster team environment to support an engaged workforce
* Understand and assist in meeting area costs versus budget
The Skills You Will Bring:
* Four (4) years post college experience with a minimum of two (2) years operation experience in pulp & paper required.
* Technical degree in engineering and some supervisory experience is preferred
* Experience in Utilities, lime kilns, or evaporators preferred.
