This position does directly supervise hourly employees. This role ensures the continued success of the mill's environmental lab through training and mentoring the lab techs, performs environmental compliance testing, and analyzes results to identify problems and recommend improvements. The job requires knowledge of standard lab test procedures and methods, execution of field sampling, calculation of test results, verification of accurate results and timely communication of test results to applicable personnel with little or no direct supervision. The Paper Department is comprised of two machines, one producing Brite Top liner and one producing uncoated free sheet. Specifically, the OMC is tasked with managing the area's maintenance priorities, and coordinating safe and efficient execution of daily, field day, and annual outage maintenance activities for the Paper Department areas. This position reports to the Area Process Manager, Paper. The Opportunity: The Demopolis Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) Paperboard mill operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to meet quality production standards.
