**What You'll Do as a Warehouse Specialist I:**
+ As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
+ Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
+ Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
+ Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
+ Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day routine tasks follow established guidelines.
+ In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
+ Primary purpose is to perform any necessary or required grounds maintenance duties.
+ Reports all accidents/incidents to Supervisor.
+ Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

**What You'll Need:**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ OSHA certified forklift operator.

Performs Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C). Packs and repacks a variety of items for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS, utilizing a wide variety of standard packing materials, methods, and techniques.
Performs administrative and duties such as word processing; receipt and completeness of data; correcting errors, modifying as required, and transmission of electronic mail; storing, retrieving, and maintaining electronic documents or files; entering data into a predefined spreadsheet or database.
Must be adept at general warehouse maintenance activities (warehouse cleanliness and aesthetics). Employees are responsible for their assigned sections/areas of the warehouse.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Specialized experience shall include general supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, assemblage management, warehousing, and operation of various materials handling equipment.
Candidate must be able to maintain certification in the daily operation of various warehouse equipment; to include forklifts, side lifts, cherry' pickers, etc.
Candidate must be comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment during the duty day (steel toe shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, etc.)
Candidate must have experience in using and running transactions in the DMLSS or other Medical Materiel Information System(s).

**What You'll Do as a Warehouse Specialist I:**
+ As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
+ Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
+ Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
+ Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
+ Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day routine tasks follow established guidelines.
+ In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
+ Primary purpose is to perform any necessary or required grounds maintenance duties.
+ Reports all accidents/incidents to Supervisor.
+ Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

**What You'll Need:**

+ OSHA certified forklift operator.

+ Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

+ Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
