We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior HSE Manager to support our Electronics Business Unit. As part of the Electronics Global Leadership Team, you'll work with our operational leaders to serve our clients and senior stakeholders. By engaging with other Jacobs HSE Managers, Project Managers and Construction Managers you will lead HSE excellence as we deliver projects and innovate for our clients. We'll ask you to support BeyondZero performance that is inclusive of the Line of Business' (LOB) vision and strategic plans, as well as provide overall leadership, management and direction to the Jacobs team and clients assigned.
This position has multi-site and multi-client responsibilities for all HSE initiatives within the Electronics Business Unit which spans the globe. We will rely on you to take personal responsibility for protecting our team and partners through strategic planning, targeted training, and intelligent oversight, while driving Jacobs' strategies, supporting continuous improvement, and building alliances with client leadership. You will be supported by Advanced Facilities HSE leadership and peer HSE team members with whom you'll exchange technical guidance, ensuring alignment and consistent application of HSE process tools that support LOB HSE strategic plans and objectives.
As a Senior HSE Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated HSE and administrative professionals, providing them with supervision, mentorship, and positive motivation, driving employee performance and development. You and your staff will work on problems of technical and legal scope requiring critical thinking and interaction with internal and external technical professionals along with individuals representing official agencies. You will be considered a primary subject matter expert on all HSE topics. You'll develop project specific HSE plans, review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables, and participate as required in operational and construction readiness reviews, monthly assessments, management system reviews, and/or other forums relevant to project success.
This is a geographically flexible position in the U.S with up to 50% anticipated travel.

Here's what you'll need
* At least 10 years of professional HSE experience
* A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school with a focus on health, safety, environmental sciences, or engineering
* At least two years demonstrated supervisory experience with one or more employee
* A background in the semiconductor industry

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
* Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills

In this role, you'll be:
- Responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of design on large complex alternative delivery projects to include Design-Build and PPP projects.
- Effectively maintain diverse relationships with the Contractor, Owner Representatives, and any number of project stakeholders and influencers.
- Responsible for the Planning, direction, coordination of multi-discipline staff in a high intensity environment, often including multi-office execution.

- Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Directs and coordinates activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Participates in interviews and presentations as applicable for support and growth of the Design-Build Practice Nationally.
- Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
- Serves as a representative of Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.
- Develops, reviews and obtains confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
- Identifies causes for revisions to projects and whether such changes are billable to the client.
- Assures that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
- Responsible for the leadership, interpretation, organization, execution and coordination of project assignments and managing projects that are larger in scope and complexity
- Assist Group Manager in the development of new business, marketing to potential and existing clients
- Work within other subgroups and may interact with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, other consultants, and professional organizations
- Work will involve attending meetings, making presentations, and responding to questions
- Work closely with other staff in other departments which may not be within the same office

Using the various applicable Life Safety & Fire codes as well as industry standards you will provide calculations; equipment size and quantities; equipment and construction specifications; network diagrams and various construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D platforms for a constructible design.

As a Power System Studies Intern, you will closely work with regional and global power systems teams to support system studies projects at various stages of their lifecycle (i.e. from the technical bid/proposal to execution, reports, client meetings/presentations, to close-out). You will gain exposure to a variety of clients including renewable developers, transmission owner/developers as well as utilities and blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. You will perform power system studies both internal to the plant (including, but not limited to, load flow, short circuit, insulation coordination, TOV, arc flash and harmonics) and external to the plant (related to interconnection to ensure compliance with interconnection requirements as well as NERC standards).
To be successful in this role you will need to a solid foundation of technical knowledge in power system modeling and analysis. Ideally, you will have previous research or internship experience working with renewable generation while interning at an engineering firm or utility.
