    Description:HIRE ON BONUS $500.00 after 6 months and $1000.00 after 1 year Title: Dietary Cook Supervisor: Dietary Supervisor Purpose of Your Job Position: The Primary responsibility of your job position is to prepare food in accordance to established federal and state standards, the facility's established policies and procedures, and the Nebraska Food Code to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Attendance: You are required to be at your job as scheduled. Your dependable attendance is essential. Major Job Duties & Responsibilities: Following in an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that you will be required to perform. Although your job description is broad, every effort has been made to make the outline as complete as possible, however, we emphasize that you may be required to perform other related duties and activities. Perform daily dietary tasks, duties, and functions as assigned. Follow all established safety and infection control procedures and precautions. Develop and maintain a good working rapport and communicate effectively and pleasantly with supervisor, co-workers, tenants, visitors families, etc. Report all incidents/accidents. Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, on-the-job training programs, etc., as required and approved. Assure that tenant's rights are maintained. Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving work areas. Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Dietary Supervisor. Requirements: Qualifications: Must possess a high school education. Possess a working knowledge of dietary procedures, guidelines and regulations, operations, and safe practices. Working knowledge of dietary equipment such as dishwashers, blenders, food processors, etc. Ability to follow existing policy and procedures. Knowledgeable and/or willing to learn about safety and applicable state regulations. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Possess the ability to deal tactfully and work harmoniously with personnel, tenants, repairmen, visitors and the general public. Be a minimum of 16 years of age and of good moral character. Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc. Be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day and able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment/supplies as necessary. Must be in good general health, demonstrate emotional stability, and be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other personnel.
