Job Purpose
The Regional Safety Manager provides strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for Health and Safety programs across Fabick CAT's Missouri and Illinois operations. This role partners with operational leaders and the Safety Director to integrate safety into every aspect of our culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and Fabick CAT standards. The position drives continuous improvement, proactive risk management, and accountability to support Fabick CAT's STRIDE values and our Commitment to Safe Service.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy
Partner with the Safety Director and regional leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve safety performance and employee engagement.
Establish measurable goals for reducing risk exposure and monitor progress using leading and lagging indicators.
Facilitate regular performance reviews and collaborate with managers to ensure continuous improvement.
Champion Fabick CAT's culture by engaging employees and leaders at all levels in ownership of safe work practices.
Risk Management & Compliance
Conduct, reinforce and train proactive risk assessments across service shops, field operations, warehouses and power generation to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, MSHA, ANSI, and EPA regulations, and Fabick CAT policies.
Lead and document internal safety audits and inspections; oversee corrective action tracking and completion.
Prepare for and assist during federal, state, and local inspections and investigations.
Maintain and update the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Incident Management & Analysis
Lead or support root cause analyses for incidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses; identify corrective and preventive actions.
Partner with the Safety Director to communicate findings, implement improvements, and verify effectiveness.
Assist in managing workers' compensation claims and collaborate with HR and leadership to reduce recurrence.
Training, Communication & Engagement
Assist with development and delivery of engaging training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers.
Promote positive safety observations, near-miss reporting and proactive communication throughout the region.
Collaborate with the regional athletic trainer (ATC) to ensure program effectiveness, including injury prevention and case management.
Participate in and support local Safety Action Teams and Corporate Continuous Improvement (CI) Teams.
Support onboarding and orientation for new employees to ensure they understand Fabick CAT's safety expectations and resources.
Data, Systems & Reporting
Utilize digital platforms such as Avetta, ISNetworld, and internal systems to track compliance and performance metrics.
Analyze safety data to identify trends, develop recommendations, and prepare reports for regional and corporate leadership.
Present findings and progress updates through clear, visual, and actionable reports.
Emergency Preparedness
Lead regional efforts to develop, test, and evaluate emergency response and business continuity plans.
Maintain relationships with local fire departments, emergency responders, and mutual aid partners to enhance readiness.

Responsibilities:
* The primary responsibility of the technician is to diagnose construction equipment repair needs and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned machines as directed.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of the technician-lube truck is to perform preventative maintenance general machine upkeep and light repairs on customer owned machines as directed. Repairs are made on all types of construction equipment.
Detection of faults through the use of diagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines and general machine performance is expected. Occasional operation of equipment in the determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur.
Load or unload equipment or components from customer owned or common carrier vehicles.

The Metrologist is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining precise measurement routines and systems that ensure product quality and conformance to specifications. This role involves creating turnkey CMM (PC-DMIS) and MicroVu measurement programs for production and inspection use, troubleshooting and improving existing routines, and collaborating with engineering. The position also supports critical quality functions such as First Article Inspections (FAIRs), capability studies, Gage R&R, and calibration activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Create measurement routines on the CMM (PCDMIS) and MicroVu that are turnkey for production and inspectors.
Troubleshoot and correct issues with current measurement routines.
Lean out current measurement routines making them as efficient as possible. Eliminate waste of movement or unnecessary measurements on the CMM.
Work with engineering to create robust fixturing to stage components and assemblies for measurement on the CMM and MicroVu.
Perform First Article Inspections (FAIRs) on components and assemblies. Populate FAIR form along with a bubble numbered print of the current revision.
Gather data for Gage R&R's, DOE's, and capability studies. Populate minitab with data for Engineering analysis.
Review measurement data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Identify and remeasure outlier data points.
Author measurement procedures (MP's).
Create measurement routines on the CMM for the calibration of production gages.
Work with calibration to maintain measurement gages.
Complete inspections for production as necessary.
Provide technical support and advice to other departments or personnel.
Train others on proper measuring equipment and measuring techniques.
Collaborate with engineers to resolve measurement challenges.
Perform any necessary equipment checks to ensure proper calibration and functionality prior to use.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.

The Service Writer is responsible for being a liaison between the shop and external customers, communicating progress on service work.
Responsibilities:
Maintains and reviews work order files. Includes opening jobs, making changes and reviewing work orders for closing on the computer. Monitors credit approval and assures that COD jobs are collected when appropriate. Provides input for changes in procedure. Reviews daily time cards and labor entry to make sure time is entered into the appropriate job segment. Keeps abreast of technical developments. Assists with walk in customers and phone calls.
Responsible for a program of self-improvement and personal development. Attends scheduled training meetings. Utilizes available time in learning to read and interpret manufactures' reference material. Strives to upgrade ability and knowledge in all phases of the service operation.
Responsible for maintenance of good customer relations and a continued building of the company image. Resolves customer complaints immediately. Treats customers fairly, friendly and courteously. Assures customer contacts are made on a timely basis and in a business-like manner. Ensures a high level of internal communication.
Complies with routine reporting requirements. Establishes, implements and maintains necessary reports, records, controls and procedures to assure compliance with company and Caterpillar requirements.
Assists to maintain service facilities. Establishes and maintains a current inventory list of all service equipment and tooling. Assures proper maintenance and utilization of equipment, tools, building and yard. Maintains a neat, orderly and safe Service Department and yard.
Keeps Shop Manager appraised to all matters pertinent to the service department. Reports information to the Shop Manager accurately and on a timely basis. Communicates employee suggestions and grievances.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.
