You will be responsible for initiating, establishing, and building profitable service relationships between new customers and Johnson Controls (JCI). You will focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements as the key building block for establishing these relationships, and you will work within an assigned geographic territory, working as part of a local branch office and teaming with sales and operations professionals within the branch. You will use sales tools to plan and document sales progress as well as increase business opportunity in current accounts and you are expected to obtain and close business on a monthly basis. How you will do it Follow a disciplined and professional process to identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers and take advantage of market conditions and networks effectively to uncover new leads and contacts. Contact prospective customers and schedule appointments as well as build a referral network to identify new customers. Conduct sales calls designed to identify key sources of problems and/or dissatisfaction and consulting with Facility Directors regarding operating and maintaining heating/cooling, ventilation, and control system equipment. Develop a sense of urgency to resolve needs and position Johnson Controls as the supplier of choice. Propose solutions to prospective customers' needs through creative and innovative application of local branch service capabilities with a focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements with an emphasis on digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization. Understand the customer's business and speak their language. Review and finalize proposals with prospects and secure their commitment to the Johnson Controls solution. Conduct customer kick-off meetings, resolve customer issues, create pull-through opportunities, maintain service agreements, extend service agreements, and support the collections process. Keep management informed of progress and account status using the Johnson Controls Salesforce tool. Know when to call for assistance from management to keep the sales process moving. Develop and implement territory marketing plans consistent with the Johnson Controls Building Solutions business strategy. Attend and present at trade shows. Participate in professional organizations. Represent Johnson Controls professionally by conducting business according to the highest standards of quality, pride, integrity, and performance. What we look for Required: Two to three previous progressive sales roles with proven results. Aptitude for technical knowledge with high level of attention to detail. What you will do Our Customer Service Agents will serve as Emergency Dispatch Operators, monitoring systems for alarm signals and responding to alarms using the information provided in instruction screens. You will learn about the dispatch operator role and standard operating procedures through our paid training course. Once on the job, you will place the necessary outgoing calls to verify an alarm, dispatches the proper authorities, and notifies responsible parties. Part of your job will be to properly document what happened and how you handled this situation within the system and make sure you followed all of the appropriate steps. How you will do it As an Emergency Dispatch Operator, you will participate in a five-week training program. We provide a fun and interactive learning environment. You will learn about the role and the great opportunities within our company, what is expected of you, how we monitor your performance and work together through the training classes so that you can be a successful Emergency Dispatch Operator. Job Overview: The Centrifugal Service Technician - Compression Technologies and Services serves customers by installing, trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining our centrifugal compressor product lines including Centac and Turbo Air models, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic trouble shooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment. Responsibilities: * Provide technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems, including "hands-on" work to assure equipment operates to customer's requirement. * Read wiring schematics and diagrams for equipment, research complex technical issues, and find/implement solutions. * Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, performing maintenance checklists, and maintaining daily time sheets. * Maintain rapport with customers by suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements. Increase Ingersoll Rand customer's awareness of how Ingersoll Rand products, services and solutions; such as Package CARE, Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection, can benefit their operations. * Conduct safety assessments of a continuously changing work environment. Ensure proper operation of compressed air equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and 47-point inspections on a wide variety of compressors, refrigerated dryers, desiccant dryers and additional compressed air components. * Work with Service Coordinator and operations teams on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. * Explain practices, procedures, and policies to reach agreement with suppliers and others outside of the job area. * Conduct basic vibration and air quality troubleshooting. Requirements: * Desired applicants will have 3-5 years' of Centrifugal compressor experience. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. * Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage) with NFPA or equivalent standards. * This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling, and requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy. Core Competencies: * Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases. * Excellent verbal/written communication skills and customer service skills including conflict resolution, communication, negotiation, etc. Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: * Daily travel to customer sites, occasional overtime, and regular overnight stays required. Pay Range Starting pay will range between $35.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on multiple factors, including candidate qualifications and experience. It is not typical for candidates to be paid at the top of the range. This is a full-time, hourly position.
