General Summary
To perform professional carpentry work at the journeyman level.
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Successful completion of a recognized carpenter apprenticeship program or four (4) years (48 months) of full-time journeyman-level Carpenter experience (the trade for this purpose shall include work normally performed by carpenters, millworkers, floor layers, and any other classifications encompassed within the scope of work included in these trade categories).
3. Valid Class D or above driver's license.
4. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.
Desired Qualifications
1. Familiar with various types of wood, fastening and anchoring devices.
2. Ability to determine what tool is used for various jobs, as well as properly and safely use them.
3. Must have proficient computer skills.
4. Valid state issued driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Job Purpose
This role supports the Energy division by providing licensed electrical work across solar installation projects in Colorado and Nationwide. You'll be responsible for executing and overseeing photovoltaic (solar) electrical construction that directly impacts project quality, safety, and timeline. Install photovoltaic (solar) electrical systems according to drawings and specifications
Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and best practices on the job
Complete material takeoffs and support tool/equipment procurement
Mentor and support apprentices and crew members in the field
Conduct or assist in AC and DC terminations and wire management
Interpret construction documents, wire schedules, and BOMs
Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records

Qualifications

You are eager to continue on your plumber's apprenticeship journey here at Lanz! Your main goal as a Plumbing Apprentice (3rd Year) is to ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to. By going out in the field with experienced plumbers to help install, maintain, diagnose, and repair heating, plumbing, and drainage systems for both commercial and residential customers, you soak everything up like a sponge! You'll assist in installing both underground water lines as well as sewer lines.
From properly talking with customers to completing high-quality installations, you provide assistance as the experienced plumbers mentor and train you. As a hard worker, you are serious about your career path and pay close attention. You also enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. In addition, you are determined to reach the journeyman plumber level, so you keep up on your studies. QUALIFICATIONS
Be in the 3rd year of your apprenticeship
A technical school certificate, valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record
Able and willing to work from a 28' extension ladder, 12' step ladders, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting or moving objects up to 100 lbs
Willing to invest in tools used in the service plumbing industry
Able to pass a drug test
Strong desire to exceed customer expectations

Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University.
