• Employee will report to the Supervisor of Maintenance.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN
You're responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high- and medium-voltage systems with overhead and underground electric components. Safety is your top priority, and you closely follow outlined protocols to complete high-quality work without endangering yourself or others. Working alone or with other tradespeople, you skillfully troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems, and perform tasks like splicing, terminating, and testing electric cables. As you work, you accurately document job details and equipment condition. Operating various tools and vehicles, you collaborate with project managers and field crew to complete exceptional work on time and within budget.
Here's what we need from you:
Journeyman lineman and high-voltage certification
4+ years of experience as a high voltage electrician, including apprenticeship
Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Ability to move heavy objects, be in all kinds of weather conditions, and work from heights or confined spaces
Ability to work independently and with a team
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High school degree or equivalent
Valid driver's license
A Michigan journeyman license and experience working with overhead and underground lines, substations, and related equipment would be preferred.
