We're currently recruiting for a Digital Accessibility Coordinator. The primary responsibilities for the job are to support the City's commitment to digital accessibility. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and regulations, ensuring equitable access for individuals with disabilities, and empowering stakeholders to create inclusive digital content. The Coordinator position supports web accessibility compliance, advises on best practices, and provides content remediation support. They provide content creators with the knowledge and tools they need to address accessibility issues. It also involves creating web and social media content. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8am to 5pm. At this time, this position is eligible for telework or hybrid schedule. As with all routine telework positions, employees may be required to come into the office on occasion based on business needs. Telework may be subject to change at a future time. Currently, all employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the City cannot support ongoing telework from other locations. Open until filled. Qualifications Experience and Education Experience: Three (3) years This position requires knowledge and experience generally obtained through a BA degree in computer science, educational technology, communications, or a related field, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study and at least three years of related work experience. Education: Bachelor's Degree Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
