ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Director of Commercial Analytics and Performance Reporting will play an integral role in the successful launch of Kura Oncology's lead program. This role will lead our Commercial Analytics activities, leveraging data to drive robust analytical insights that inform our most critical business questions. S/he will work with cross-functional partners to identify and prioritize business questions, develop appropriate analytical approaches and frameworks, and generate insights to maximize commercial opportunities. This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and will require a demonstrated ability to communicate intricate data concepts and drive action among a diverse group of stakeholders through compelling presentations and dashboards. Key Responsibilities: Development and implementation of best-in-class strategies to align advanced analytics and data science initiatives with overall business goals Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to performance reporting, including executive reporting and interactions with senior commercial leaders. Develop and execute creation of in-house insights-ready reports and dashboards to drive actionable insights from internal and secondary data sources. Lead the evaluation, tracking, and reporting of brand performance metrics and KPIs through compelling weekly, monthly and quarterly presentations with brand and leadership teams Connect insights together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations. Partner with colleagues to advance the use of data sources and reporting, including I&A, Sales & Marketing, Agency partners, Market access, RWD, etc. Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business Hands-on ability to leverage diverse datasets to identify insights that inform marketing and sales strategies, shape the customer experience, and elevate impact of omnichannel programs. Oversee data quality management process for assigned brand/s with external and internal data providers to ensure timely, accurate and complete patient and specialty pharmacy data. Act as a key “go-to person” for resolving field reporting and data inquiries issues. Expertise in leading vendors/offshore data partners on connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis into a meaningful ‘so what' recommendation Proven ability to act as a strategic partner with the capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust, credibility, and be seen as a partner Ability to identify, prioritize and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in data, including how they relate to the business question and broader strategic priorities. Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing commercial reporting. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in an analytic discipline - engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc. Master's degree in a similar field or an MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in analytics. Strong analytical, coding skills (such as: Python, R, SQL, etc.), MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. Strong knowledge of internal sales data (i.e. SP, field execution, promotional metrics) and third party pharmaceutical sales and script data (DDD, NSP, Xponent, DataView, longitudinal patient data, claims data, etc.) Advanced knowledge and experience developing BI tools for commercial pharma applications (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, etc.) Expertise in data analysis and in building successful strategies using advanced data driven analysis and reporting (next-best action etc) that drive business results.
