PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

8. *Assists in training new employees, students, other technical staff and support staff.
9. *Works collaboratively with all laboratory staff to ensure completion of testing and communication of necessary information to assist testing completion.
10. Uses quality improvement processes, programs or outcomes to help improve department operations; assists with LEAN projects.
11. Performs service excellence must-haves to achieve an excellent patient/customer experience.
12. Basic knowledge in phlebotomy and phlebotomy procedures and ability to perform phlebotomy if required by laboratory facility.
13. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
14. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
15. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test result.
Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
Review and release test results.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.
Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

The Bovine IVF Laboratory Technician is an integral part of our global team to help bring certainty to genetic progress in livestock. RESPONSIBILITIES- IN LAB
Complete Vytelles specialized training program is designed to prepare team members for fieldwork at our satellite locations for oocyte collection and in the IVF lab. This may require travel to our training facility in Texas.
Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) following established IVF processes including plate preparation, oocyte collection and maturation, semen processing, embryo culture, evaluation, loading and freezing.

Manage consumables: ensure proper storage conditions, guarantee material quality, and keep accurate control of lot usage.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
