Must have understanding and knowledge of Voltage, AC/DC and OHM's Law. Basis understanding and usage of laboratory equipment including Multimeter and Oscilloscope. Basic understanding and ability to read technical specifications. Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word. Good oral and written communication skills. Analytical ability to aid in problem resolution and troubleshooting. Understands the capabilities and application of basic laboratory instrumentation. Must be willing to work 40-45/hrs. per week-we have all shifts available. We are willing to consider candidate that have industry experience in Electronics, Software or Electrical Technology and testing preferred. Responsibilities Interpret customer order testing requirements, recognize and report out of tolerance conditions, and ensure all laboratory testing meets industry and customer specifications to facilitate the metallurgical release of the product through effective use of our business and data systems. Produce metallurgical certifications for orders after the release of the product is complete. The certification is required prior to shipment and customer receipt of the material. This includes final review of all heat and product testing, interpretation of customer comments and requirements, and utilization of the certification system. The certifications must be complete and accurate. Participates in activities related to quality systems that are required to maintain appropriate quality control, standards, and records, in accordance with internal and external (ASTM, ASM, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, etc.) standards. This includes creating and/or modifying operating standards and training modules, training records, and participating in internal/external audits. Help coordinate outsource testing of samples when GML requires additional test capacity during periods of increased sample/test volume or when testing requirements are outside of the GML internal capabilities.
