Position Summary: Assist students in day and evening classes with welding processes and positions. Provide supportive supervision, safety support, and supportive instruction to assigned students in a welding class environment. Assist program coordinator with lab set-up and machine maintenance. Welding processes in the program include: GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and OAW.
Qualifications:
1. Associate's Degree in Welding/Welding Technology -OR- High School diploma or GED with industry certification required.
2. At least two years of welding experience required.
3. Project a professional image at all time required.
4. Available to instruct day or evening classes required.

Job Summary:

Principal Responsibilities
Collects blood specimens using age appropriate skills.
Identifies the patient, selects venipuncture equipment based on patient age, and labels specimens according to policy.

Performs proper collection of specimens including patient preparation, technique, specimen requirements and transportation, and utilizes and demonstrates proper use of safety equipment available for specimen collection.
Labels, processes, and distributes patient specimens according to established procedures.
Verifies specimens received meet all requirements and ensures specimens are processed properly.

Performs PAS duties as needed.

Displays troubleshooting skills and problem resolution techniques for minor issues with instrumentation and equipment, demonstrates the ability to perform simultaneous task accurately and efficiently, and is flexible to daily workload expectations.
Complies with quality control procedures, with preventative maintenance procedures, and meets established deadlines and remains current on competency assessment.
Identifies situations which may adversely affect quality patient care and initiates problem resolution.
Monitors daily use of reagents and supplies to maintain established inventory levels to contribute to financial success through efficient use of time and supplies.

The major function of this position is:
To provide lab support in the Maui Jim Prescription Lens Manufacturing Lab.

Essential Duties:
Run multiple operations within the Surface, Finish and/or AR Coatroom departments to process Maui Jim prescription lenses.
Timely manage the flow of lenses and trays through the process.

Perform periodic maintenance on laboratory equipment. May be a key analyzer operator with proper training and documentation of skills. Follows the laboratory safety policies and participates in safety education programs.

Perform quality control procedures as specified in SOPs and maintain quality control records necessary for accrediting agencies and quality assurance indicators.
Prepare, label and perform QC on lab reagents and does not report patient results unless QC data are within accepted parameters. Recognized out-of-control values, takes corrective action, and notifies other of changes.
Evaluate and resolve problems related to specimen collection, preparation and analysis.
Utilize academic, technical, and clinical skills and knowledge to evaluate, troubleshoot, research, and resolve day-to-day problems that arise.
Participate in or perform special projects as assigned by the laboratory manager.
Enters and reports results in an accurate, timely, and confidential manner.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and follows laboratory policy for data retrieval, record keeping, specimen identification, requisition, reporting, charting and billing procedures.
Perform internal and external proficiency testing.
Maintain inventory levels and monitor supplies.
Occasional clerical duties and phlebotomy duties may also be assigned as warranted.
Assist in training and evaluation of medical laboratory technician students.
Performs other related work as required or requested.

Position Summary: Natural Sciences Lab A includes the disciplines of biology, and anatomy and physiology. The Laboratory Instructor of Natural Science Laboratory A provides laboratory instruction to and assesses student learning of students enrolled in Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology courses. This person prepares and sets up laboratory assignments while ensuring the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials. The Laboratory Instructor also hires, trains and supervises student workers and develops and manages the laboratory inventory and annual budget.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in biology from an accredited college/university required.
* Teaching experience at the college level in biology and anatomy and physiology preferred.
* Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.
