Required Qualifications:
One year's recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certifications
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. The technologist operates specialized imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires technical expertise in cardiovascular procedures, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Essential Work Functions:
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality
Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs
Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications
Adhere to radiation safety protocols, ensuring proper use of lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail

Summary:To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. OR B. A full 4-year course of study that included 12 months in a college or hospital-based medical technology program or medical technology school approved by a recognized accrediting organization. The professional medical technology curriculum may have consisted of a 1-year post- bachelor's certificate program or the last 1 or 2 years of a 4-year program of study culminating in a bachelor's in medical technology. OR C. Certification/licensure as a medical technologist (generalist) obtained through written examination by a nationally recognized credentialing agency or State licensing body is a good indication that the quality of experience is acceptable. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
IR/Cath Lab Technologist
Pre-procedure duties consist of checking clinically important aspects related to the patient entering into the IR/cath lab.
Assists with the interventional radiologist or cardiologist with diagnostic angiographic procedures, cardiac catheterization, as well as complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Assist in scrub, circulate, and monitor as needed.
Prepares patient and all necessary equipment for procedure, operates needed equipment.
Produces high quality medical imaging through the use of cine-radiography using the ALARA methodology under direct supervision of Physician.
Posts and processes all exams prior to transferring images to PACS.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: Cardiovascular-interventional technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and prefer additional advanced-level cardiovascular-interventional technology training. Current BLS issued by American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, ACLS preferred.
Prefer minimum of 3 years of IR or cardiology catheterization lab or IR lab experience. Experience in running of the x-ray equipment, PACS, and contrast administration. Experience in Cardiac Catheterization and or Interventional Radiology procedures in the role of scrub, circulate, and monitor.

Job Description
The Anatomy Lab Specialist supports anatomy education at the ISU-Meridian SkaggsTreasure Valley Anatomy and Physiology Labs (TVAPL) by preparing anatomical specimens, assisting with general lab operations, and providing laboratory-based instruction. The Anatomy Lab Specialist will join a diverse team of dedicated lab staff at TVAPL, a shared resource facility supporting health science education in Southwest Idaho and the surrounding region.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively participate in laboratory-based human anatomy teaching.
* Prepare human anatomical specimens through skilled dissection.
* Assist in providing supervision of laboratory assistants, students, and volunteers.
* Support general lab operations including inventory management, specimen care, and specimen tracking.
* Support surgical training events and community outreach programs.
* Assist with the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratories.

Minimum Qualifications
