The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team.

Laboratory assistant job in Richland, WA
Join our dynamic laboratory team as a Laboratory Pre-Analytical Services Associate V, where you will play a crucial role in handling lab specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting general lab operations. Responsibilities * Receive, sort, and store incoming lab specimens.
* Ensure proper labeling, preservation, and documentation of specimens.
* Enter patient requisitions and verify accuracy.
* Record patient demographics, consent forms, insurance details, and collection timestamps.
* Order lab tests based on submitted requests.
* Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing records.
* Assist lab staff with routine tasks to maintain workflow.
* Take inventory, restock supplies, and place orders as directed.
Essential Skills
* Data entry skills.
* Laboratory support experience.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 0-1 year of experience in laboratory science or healthcare industry.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Skills in specimen processing, collection, accessioning, and handling.
* Basic ability to work independently and manage time.
* Strong written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Familiarity with histology.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment where you will be an integral part of the laboratory team, utilizing various technologies and equipment to support lab operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
