The Corporate EHS Director is responsible for leading Limbach's most critical safety Centers of Excellence (COEs), ensuring the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that protect our employees and advance a culture of safety. This role provides strategic leadership while remaining actively engaged in the field to ensure programs are meaningful, practical, and impactful. The incumbent serves as a key partner to Regional EHS Directors and other business leaders, bridging corporate safety strategy with operational execution.
This Position…
Some examples of the work you might do includes:
Centers of Excellence Leadership: Leads corporate safety COEs including Operational Risk Management (incident management, SIF program, and risk assessment). Partners with Regional EHS directors to develop COE programs and support their implementation across branches and projects, ensuring each initiative aligns with the corporate safety strategy and addresses the realities in the field.
Strategic Leadership and Safety Culture: Drives a clear corporate safety vision and strategy that supports the Company's overall business goals. Champions the “Hearts & Minds” culture at the corporate level by embedding scalable processes and programs that promote continuous improvement. Uses employee feedback and data to refine strategies and programs, ensuring they remain effective and responsive to organizational needs.
Program Oversight and Compliance: Provides company-wide oversight of safety programs, training initiatives, and strategic objectives to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the organization. Ensures compliance with all federal regulations, industry standards, and company requirements, while establishing frameworks for incident response, risk mitigation, and emergency management at the corporate level.
Coaching, Consulting and Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as a trusted partner to Regional Safety Directors, branch managers, and operations teams by offering corporate-level coaching, guidance, and technical expertise. Supports consistent application of safety programs across regions and represents the Company at the corporate level with industry groups, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Training and Development: Leads the design, development, and delivery of corporate safety training programs that strengthen both technical competence and leadership capability. Collaborates with the Talent Development team to ensure training integrates with broader leadership development, skill-building, and organizational performance initiatives. Aligns all training with COE objectives so employees and leaders are equipped to work safely and lead safely.
Innovation and Best Practices: Stays attuned to emerging trends, industry best practices, and innovations in occupational safety, and ensures these insights are incorporated into corporate programs and COE initiatives. Continuously embeds lessons learned and improvement opportunities into the organization's safety strategy.
What You Need…
10+ years of progressive relevant experience, with at least 7 years in a dedicated safety role.
Prior work experience in a highly safety sensitive environment, such as construction.
Experience navigating a decentralized, matrix environment.
Strong record of building a proactive, integrated safety culture.
Desire and ability to connect at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated experience fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Robust understanding of EHS compliance.
Practical experience translating safety into the day-to-day experiences of individuals across the organization.
Experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Skilled at translating key concepts such as hazard identification and safety risk management into repeatable processes.
Demonstrated experience developing partnerships and influencing behavior and culture across all levels of the organization.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Certified Safety Professional
Experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.

Position Description: Prepare detailed estimates for the project based on the construction drawings and specifications. Communicate bids and scopes of work.
Reports to: Lead Estimator, Senior Estimator, or Preconstruction Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities*: In the areas assigned:
* Prepare a detailed estimate by completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope.
* Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types (Lump Sum, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Cost Plus, etc.)
* Lead the document management for the project, including receiving drawings and specifications, providing the proper file structure and distribution to all parties.
* Serve as liaison with subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client. Point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing information.
* Support constructability reviews through communication with the project team, designers, and subcontractor market.
* Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient.
* Responsible for understanding all factors required for a comprehensive trade package scope including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods.
* Coordinate with Operations staff and fellow estimators to ensure that General Conditions and General Requirement items are properly addressed in the estimate.
* Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
* Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned scope.
* Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work. Document information into Bid Recording Sheet, organize and participate in Post Bid Review.
* Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize subcontract scope. Make recommendations to the Project Lead for award.
* Supervise Assistant Estimators and/or Interns as assigned.

As Security Analyst / Engineer, you will serve as the organization's primary, hands-on security operations lead. Responsibilities
Leads the estimating deliverable for an entire project coordinated with the Senior Estimating Manager, preconstruction lead, operations team, and Business Development (BD) staff (projects ranging in size and complexity as assigned by Senior Estimating Manager)
Coordinates the development of the Site Services general costs with the operations team, Senior Estimating Manager, and preconstruction lead to align with contract requirements and trade costs
Develops self by training under Senior Estimating Manager/Estimating Manager for conceptual cost estimates and budgets on limited information while providing adequate written clarifications of the costing assumptions
Reviews and understands all project plans, requirements, and specifications
Coaches and mentors a team of estimators to develop large, multi-disciplinary estimates
Develops and recommends appropriate contingency and allowance values with each estimating deliverable
Determines labor and equipment costs
Reviews and understands all bid documents while assessing project risks
Understands project logistics and project schedule for complete alignment with the estimate and estimating deliverable
Assists the operations team in the development of bid packages; assists in the analysis of competitive subcontract and supplier bids
Attends scope review meetings as required to assist the operations and purchasing teams in the preparation of bid recommendations
Connects with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction
Develops accurate cost models within Gilbane's costing software
Tracks and reports on current material and labor prices, including escalation
Determines lead times for equipment and materials; communicates with the entire project team to capture the information within the project schedule

The National Project Developer will lead the development of large-scale, turnkey infrastructure projects across the United States. Participates in reviewing scopes of work for bid packages
Maintains the Material Equipment Status Report
Develops the submittal register
Prepares change management reports, estimates and other cost report documents
Conducts and manages quality control activities; ensures activities are documented properly and corrective action occurs, when necessary
Reviews contractors' startup documents (safety startup submittals, contract compliance, etc.)
Works with Lead Superintendent for trade contractor responsibilities throughout project
Enforces Gilbane's high safety standards
Manages and performs weekly safety inspections
Participates in Schedule Updates and Pull Plans
Works collaboratively with field team to ensure milestone dates are met
Coordinates and manages general conditions work and project logistics
Communicates with Trade Contractors and AE on field and QAQC related questions
Prepares and contributes to daily reports
Provides input and suggestions for trade contractor weekly meetings
Communicates with Site Services/ Next150, orders material, and understands workforce needs, ensures clean jobsite
Assists with Time and Materials (T&M) process
Participates in stretch and flex, daily huddle, and reviews pre-task plans
May be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions
Promotes organizational change initiatives, suggests new ideas, and continuously adapts to work within new structures and processes
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
1-2 years of experience or internships with a construction organization
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Some knowledge of commercial/institutional construction project
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
Knowledge of Procore
Good capabilities in Microsoft Office programs
Strong technical and communication skills are critical
OSHA 30 hour certification required
First Aid, CPR Trained
Construction-document and drawing literate
Ability to work in a team environment
