You will work directly with marketing leadership, market sector leadership, principals, managing principals and other leaders in various offices and regions.
Responsibilities
Leads a pursuit from initiation through qualifications, proposal, interview and selection phases, including all submittals whether print or electronic.
Able to manage large pursuit teams and high pressure deadlines with diligence.
Understands the required experience, knowledge, and project types required of the program.
Works directly with the project manager and marketer/business developer and coordinates with sub consultants and subject matter experts.
Involves frequent collaboration with additional internal staff, such as writers and graphic designers.
Evaluates content, both technical and non-technical and is able to edit proposal sections.
Completes government forms, client questionnaires and qualifying statements.
Gathers information on past project experience and develops personnel resumes.
Maintains accurate pursuit status reports in CRM system.

What you do:
Provide initial review, analysis and written recommendations on new mortgage loans presented by loan correspondents or other sources. For loan opportunities, complete submission briefs, draft application-commitment documents and other related loan production documents.
Assist management in monitoring our existing portfolio of mortgage loans. In a timely manner, complete all monthly and quarterly compliance reports, with appropriate analytical insight included, for individual loans, properties or for entire portfolios of loans or properties.
Aid in the closing process of assigned loans. Review third party reports, leases and other due diligence activities. Assist with loan file assembly (hard copy or electronic).
As scheduled or requested, travel to selected markets and call on mortgage banking correspondents, as an aid in new loan production, portfolio management and servicing functions. Perform property site inspections as assigned and document inspections.
Track economic and real estate market information in the markets where Ameritas has commercial mortgage or real estate investment exposure or is considering such investment. Review inspection reports and operating statement reports for individual loans. Add appropriate data to the portfolio management systems and notify management regarding issues discovered. Provide requested support on real estate equity transactions. Such support will include analysis and commentary on individual markets, locations and other underwriting criteria.
What you bring:
Zero to two years of relevant experience required.
Previous experience in commercial real estate management, banking, investment management or related areas desired.
Associate degree required. Strong preference for bachelor's degree with a major in finance, real estate, or similar field of study.
Communication skills, reasoning and analytical skills; ability to operate independently, and ability to execute independent judgment are all required.
Industry relevant professional certifications or licensing are desirable but not required.
Working knowledge of word processing, databases, spreadsheet, property valuation (e.g., ARGUS) and mapping software are desired.

Education

Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-13 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience that demonstrates competence in agricultural loans; reviewing and passing upon applications for a wide and complex variety of agricultural operations or enterprises (i.e., single owner, partnerships, and corporations, etc.); servicing an agricultural loan portfolio of a bank or other loan association; or similar work. In addition, experience that demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the technicalities of farm financing and credit; farm operations, land use and value; production of various crops and livestock, and prices and markets in the farming area where loans are made and serviced.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
For Your Assigned Portfolio:
· Review, analyze and interpret all types of property and liability insurance policies, operating statements and property appraisals for commercial loans to ensure compliance with the loan documents, investor requirements and internal policies and procedures.
· Manage and ensure the data contained in the servicing system is updated to reflect the current status regarding insurance policy effective dates and coverage amounts.
· Monitor and manage the disbursement of payment of all insurance premiums for the commercial mortgage loans for which there are escrow funds being held and any force place insurance premiums.
· Monitor and collect the necessary documentation to determine that all non-escrowed loans have adequate insurance policies in force.
· Initiate and oversee any forced place insurance coverage that is required due to inaction of the borrower.
· Oversee and administer all casualty losses incurred on the commercial properties. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing the severity of the loss by reviewing loss affidavits, engineering reports, etc., arranging property inspections, and processing disbursement requests from the loss proceeds.
· Correspond, either verbally or in writing, as necessary with borrowers, insurance agents, and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to insurance.
· Interact with internal departments as needed to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to insurance.
**MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS**
· Administer all customer inquiries and requests that relate to commercial property insurance.
· Assist with servicing acquisition related tasks.
· Train new employees.
· Assist the department supervisor with other duties as assigned.
· Act as resource to other department members and internal/external customers.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
· Minimum two-years broad based commercial property insurance or related experience or Four-year college degree.
· Legal document review and interpretation experience.
· Extensive knowledge of the various types of commercial property insurance policies.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
· Commercial loanservicing experience
