Position Summary:
SolomonEdwards is looking for a Home LoanSpecialist II for one of its mortgage clients to perform daily loan reviews to ensure the accuracy of loan findings. You will act as a key contributor to facilitate efficient and effective processes that support business and customer service objectives.

Essential Duties:
- Perform complex data and document validation.
- Troubleshoot third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.).
- Handle more complex calls, emails, or chat sessions.
- Complete appraisal eligibility tasks.
- Evaluate loan applications for compliance with product guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.

A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $20-24.

End-to-End Loan Management

Operate overhead cranes, hoists and other lifting equipment as needed to move work pieces and facilitate inspection.
Maintain accurate records regarding heat numbers and operations, including use of computerized record keeping.
Initiate change requests for process changes and adjustments to standards.
Maintain Level I certification in Liquid Penetrant and/or Radiographic Inspection. The individual will be expected to complete and successfully pass the required certification test per the guidelines SNT-TC-1A of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing for level I and NAS-STD-410, Level 1.

* Conduct quality assurance review of each consumer loan to ensure loan is accurate, complete, and within all lending guidelines prior to funding.
* Identify and document loan errors and communicate with lenders for error resolution.
* Perform accurate disbursement of all loan proceeds through loan payoffs/payments, deposits to account, credit/debit of general ledgers, and cashier's checks.
* Review core system to ensure the loan booking was completed in full - manually complete any portion of the booking process that did not occur due to errors in the loan application
* Manage timely receipt of loan documentation through fax, email, mail, DocuSign, and interoffice mail, reviewing for accuracy, following up as needed with third party vendors, retail staff, or members
* Review and verify loan paperwork received is accurate and complete - scan and file loan documentation accurately, orderly, and legibly into loan origination system or document storage
* Ensure compliance with loan and deposit regulations
* Answer calls from UW Credit Union staff in a timely and professional manner, and demonstrate positive call quality behaviors
* Provide education and guidance to retail staff and members on loan processes, procedures and file requirements or conditions
