Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing PG&E's material inventory management activities, with heavy emphasis in supply planning, inventory optimization, supplier collaboration, inbound delivery coordination, and other supply management activities. Also charged with managing various process improvement projects and deliverables in support of PG&E's Lean implementation.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay Range display:

Job Responsibilities
* Supervise, coach and mentor employees, including performance management of results and expectations. Create an environment of ownership and accountability for both personal and departmental goals. Develop and train employees on best practices and tools.
* Oversees material supply planning function with direct leadership responsibility for Logistical Supply Planners for the Electric Ops or Gas Ops/Meter Asset functional areas.
* Engages in benchmarking activities and professional Supply Chain organizations to facilitate continuous improvements within the department.
* Leads or participates in various special assignments, including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma, cross-functional process improvement initiatives, and emergency response.
* Establishes, documents and tracks performance metrics, including identifying catch back plans to meet departmental goals. Provides regular status updates to senior management and other reporting groups.
* Works closely with business partners and other supply chain functions to lead and or coordinate materials related activities during emergency response operations, including direct participation in Materials Transportation and Coordination Center (MTCC) or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) level response.
* Develops and maintains policies, procedures and adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with company requirements and all applicable laws (i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley, FERC.). Participates and supports all compliance-related activities.
* Partners and collaborates with internal clients, demand planning team, and suppliers to execute integrated demand/supply plans and ensure that service levels and performance measures are met. Communicates supply plans and strategies to all stakeholders.
* Teams closely with Strategic Sourcing and demand planning team on managing vendor performance and improving forecast accuracy.
* Implements formal supply planning and forecasting concepts with suppliers. Implements inventory control and management strategies that contribute to department goals of right-sizing inventory levels and increasing turns, while maintaining best in class order fulfillment rates.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Logistics & Global Control Tower is a strategic leader responsible for orchestrating end-to-end logistics operations and overseeing Regional Control Towers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Acting as the “air-traffic controller” of the supply chain, this role leverages advanced visibility platforms (e.g., FourKites, Project44, or similar),, foundation systems (OTM, GTM, Oracle GOP, etc),, predictive analytics, and a 24/7 follow-the-sun approach to anticipate disruptions, minimize delays, and optimize cost and service levels. The position drives operational excellence, digital transformation, and continuous improvement, leading a geographically distributed team to deliver resilient, efficient, and customer-centric logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Control Tower Leadership & End-to-End Visibility
Lead and continuously improve the Global Logistics Control Tower, ensuring real-time supply chain visibility and proactive management across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Orchestrate daily operations: Oversee real-time monitoring, exception management, escalation protocols, and recovery planning for NA & EMEA regions.
Own and present supply chain performance metrics (OTD, OTIF, loss and damage, cost per shipment, exception resolution time, carbon footprint) to drive actionable insights and executive decision-making.
Drive risk mitigation: Use predictive analytics, orchestration tools, AI-driven forecasting, and real-time data to anticipate and resolve disruptions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
8-12+ years of progressive logistics/supply chain experience, with at least 4-5 years in a control tower, supply chain visibility, or real-time transportation management leadership role.
Proven hands-on experience with leading control tower platforms (FourKites, Project44, Tive, Overhaul, SAP Control Tower, Blue Yonder Control Tower, etc.).
Deep expertise in end-to-end logistics processes across multiple modes (ocean, air, parcel, LTL/FTL, intermodal, last mile, fulfillment operations, trade operations).
Strong background in exception management, predictive analytics, and performance score-carding.
Demonstrated success reducing detention/demurrage, improving OTIF by ≥10%, and delivering multimillion-dollar cost savings through control tower initiatives.
Experience managing or collaborating with 24/7 or follow-the-sun teams is a strong plus.
Preferred Skills
Analytical mindset with advanced Excel/SQL/Tableau/Power BI skills; experience with AI/ML-driven forecasting tools highly desirable.
Experience with robotics, IoT, blockchain, visibility platforms, and digital twin technologies in logistics.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Manager of Logistics to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the construction and opening of new and remodeled retail stores by managing the transportation and timely delivery of Owner Furnished Items and Visual Merchandising Fixtures.
What You'll Do
* Oversee end to end transportation logistics for all Owner Furnished Items, Owner supplied construction materials and Visual Merchandising Fixtures to support all construction projects. Annual project count is 300-500 projects per year.

We're looking for a global supplier manager who is passionate about working with engineers to bring early stage product development to scale and building a supply chain to meet this challenge. As the global supplier manager you will build relationships with a number of suppliers and partners across a broad set of industries to negotiate favourable terms and conditions, pricing and secure and confirm availability of product. Challenges you will own
Working within a hardware enabled, software company has its challenges regarding establishing supplier relationships for low volume take-up for early adoption of high technology products. In addition, due to the nature of our hardware being an enabler platform for software development, build requirements and demand can be sporadic and therefore our supply chains have to be agile and adaptive to respond to short term requests and continual evolution of the design. The Manager, Logistics oversees transportation for the clinical manufacturing supply chain, inbound research, discovery and development functions.
