Monitor and manage the entire process of product movement via Air, Ocean, Land/trucking transportation process Track shipments across different channels Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the Supply Chain function Daily liaison with customers, carriers, and internal staff Develop performance metrics to evaluate the operating performance of internal supply chain resources and external supply chain partner collaboration model Support to perform logistics procedures to achieve team goals by logistics policies. To ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are coordinated efficiently and accurately across departments to support daily production and operational needs. Responsibilities * Communication of Shipments * Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams regarding all outgoing and incoming shipments. * Notify relevant departments (Receiving, Shipping, Production, Quality, and Procurement) of expected deliveries, tracking information, and shipment delays. * Provide daily shipping updates, including a summary of what was shipped and what remains pending. * Outgoing Shipments * Review and process daily shipment requests ensuring accuracy of part numbers, quantities, and shipping instructions. * Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and verify shipment documentation is complete (packing lists, BOLs, commercial invoices, etc.). * Communicate any shipment issues or delays immediately to the requestor and Materials Manager. * Ensure all shipments are properly logged and recorded in the company system. * Incoming Shipments * Monitor inbound shipment schedules and tracking updates. * Communicate expected arrival times to the Receiving team and ensure any special handling requirements are noted. * Assist in following up on delayed or incomplete shipments with suppliers or carriers. * Customs and International Shipping Support * Assist with the preparation and review of customs documentation to ensure compliance with import/export regulations. * Work closely with customs brokers or freight forwarders to address any clearance issues or holds. * Maintain records of international shipments for audit and compliance purposes. * Open Purchase Order (PO) Management * Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving to resolve issues with open or delayed PO lines. * Identifying potential receiving errors and communicating that info to the Material's Supervisor's. * Continuous Improvement * Identify recurring shipment or communication issues and propose process improvements. * Support team members as needed to ensure daily goals and timelines are met.
